Co-Founder & CEO at Orby AI | Delegate tedious work to automation, powered by Large Action Model | Ex-UiPath Product Leader

Last night, we hosted an incredible dinner and discussion with top Bay Area CIOs on the topic of Gen AI. I wanted to share what’s top of mind after the discussion. 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: While AI hasn’t replaced humans, it has certainly enhanced specific tasks. This, however, has raised expectations for work output, putting pressure on business leaders to adapt. As the saying goes, “AI won’t replace people, but those who use AI will.” 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Many employees are still burdened with soul-crushing tasks that should be automated, and they crave the freedom to focus on higher-value work. For employers, automating these tasks leads to transformative outcomes. Today, finance teams spend 80% of their time processing data and only 20% analyzing it. Imagine the impact if we could flip those statistics! 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗛𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸: Over the past few decades, business processes have grown more complex due to evolving business models and tighter regulations. Many processes remain difficult to automate because of the human judgment required. But with advanced AI agents and foundation models that can reason like humans and navigate complex systems, there are a lot of new technology possibilities. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻: A key barrier to the widespread adoption of generative AI is data availability and security. Many CIOs are cautious and waiting for major ERP providers to address these concerns, as their organizations are already deeply invested in these platforms. For startups attending #SFTechWeek, what is your strategy to build on top of instead of completely replacing the existing platform investments? Thank you to our partners at Wing Venture Capital for putting together a great evening, Sara Choi, Sam Parker, and to Orby AI co-founder and CTO, WILL (Dongxu) LU! #AIAgents #CIOs #GenAI #EnterpriseAutomation
