Did you know? According to the Pew Research Center the 2018, 2020, and 2022 elections had some of the highest voter turnout rates in decades! In 2020, 66% of eligible voters turned out—the highest since 1900. Even midterm elections saw a big surge, with 2018 and 2022 having the highest turnout since the 1970s. But here’s the key: Intermittent voters—those who vote sometimes but not always—often decide the outcomes. Both political parties are closely divided, so every vote matters! 🗳️ Make a plan to vote! Visit Vote411.org for information on voter registration, early voting, and how to vote on Election Day. Your vote can help elect representatives who support our mission to bridge the digital divide and ensure digital access for all. Let’s make a difference together! #Vote #DigitalEquity #BeHeard #DigitalDivide

This is your friendly reminder to check your voter registration status. Make sure if you have moved to update your registration. If you got married, update your registration. If your name changed, update your registration. If your ID is going to expire prior to the election, make sure you have an unexpired ID when you show up to vote in person or absentee. IF YOU AREN'T REGISTERED TO VOTE - DO IT. You can literally do it online now. There is no excuse not to be registered to vote. Here is the link to check your registration and to register to vote. https://lnkd.in/gaGQeQ3H If you happen to be at the BMV and you decided to update your registration or actually register there - call your local Board of Elections (Fairfield County - 7406527000) and MAKE SURE they got your updated registration. The BMV doesn't send this information to the Board of Elections in a timely fashion. Also, you don't have to vote in person on November 5! Anyone can vote absentee! Here is the link on absentee voting and how to request a ballot. If you are a registered voter in the State of Ohio, you should have received an application to request an absentee ballot in the mail this past week. Send it back and they'll send you a ballot to return to your local Board of Elections! https://lnkd.in/gVdVwxtG You can also vote early in case you aren't able to vote on November 5. Or, what if suddenly you can't make it to vote on November 5? Just plan ahead and vote early. Here is a link to information on early voting in Fairfield County - https://lnkd.in/gfA2p8kn As always, I'm here to help so if you have a question, reach out!

So excited to observe all the amazing efforts by election officials to inform voters about how elections are kept safe and secure. Our research with Mara Suttmann-Lea has helped identify best practices, and here are some of our recommendations, which you can also find here: https://lnkd.in/etK_w3Ca NOTE the red arrows: Mixing campaigning with educating. So many use their personal/candidate account to do nonpartisan voter edu. It can get tricky for voters to distinguish which hat you are wearing. When you run for re-election, and you post about elections, it can get messy. Keep educating and campaigning separate! 🙏
