Reflecting on Gratitude Beyond Our Control 🍂 As Thanksgiving approaches, the air is filled with reminders to reflect on what we're thankful for. Friends, family, a roof over our heads, or perhaps even a solid financial foundation—all these blessings are worth celebrating. But one question I love to ask is: What are you grateful for that was completely out of your control? Think back over the past year. What made you thank your lucky stars? Was it a stroke of good fortune you couldn’t have planned for—or perhaps something you could have prepared for but didn't? For me, it's been the weather in NYC. This year, we've enjoyed a mild winter with hardly any snow and a summer that never reached triple digits. As someone who loves spending time outdoors, good weather is an unexpected blessing I truly appreciate. This simple exercise in gratitude reminds me of a powerful financial truth: While we can't control everything, we can prepare for the unexpected. What out-of-your-control moment are you thankful for this year?

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. But can we talk about something for a second? Why do we only take one day a year to say “thank you”? To appreciate the people in our lives? To reflect on what we’re grateful for? Life moves fast. We spend most of it chasing the next goal, the next milestone, the next big thing. And it’s so easy to forget the little things: → That friend who checks in on you randomly. → That colleague who makes work feel less like work. → That stranger who held the door when you were in a rush. Here’s what I’ve learned: - Gratitude isn’t just about the big wins. - It’s about noticing the small moments that make life beautiful. So, this Thanksgiving, let’s try something different. Let’s not just say “thank you” today. Let’s carry it with us—every day, in every way. - Tell someone they matter. - Appreciate the small joys. - Celebrate the now. Because life doesn’t wait for a holiday to give us moments worth being thankful for. P.S.: What’s one thing you’re most thankful for this year?

As we celebrate Thanksgiving week, here’s my gratitude list: • Thankful for every opportunity, discussion, and collaboration. • Thankful for the meaningful conversations we’ve shared. • Thankful for this amazing community here on LinkedIn. • Thankful for lessons from those who disappointed me. • Thankful for the exciting possibilities on the horizon. • Thankful for my family, friends, and loved ones. • Thankful for teams that let me drive innovation. • Thankful for my boss and clients who trust me. • Thankful for those who consistently show up. • Thankful for those who leveled up this year. Reflecting on the past 365 days here, one word: Consistency. Consistency is how you unlock success in anything. I’m not just saying it—I’m living it. Wishing you all a fulfilling Thanksgiving week ahead! What’s one thing you’re grateful for this year? #ANickPerspective #Gratitude #Consistency

Today's Positive Thought 11-26-24 Being thankful is really very easy. It’s even easier when you understand and experience how powerful it can be. Gratitude gives you a distinct advantage. And it is just as reasonable and just as accessible as any alternative. It’s easy and natural to complain when life is not meeting your expectations. What if it were just as easy, just as natural to be thankful and to see the good in whatever is going on? In fact, it can be just as easy, and completely natural, to be thankful. All you have to do is make the choice. Remind yourself how easy it can be to simply be thankful. Then take that easy route to real richness in life. There is no good reason to deny yourself the power of gratitude. This Thanksgiving Holiday, make the easy choice to be thankful, and you’ll easily be grateful you did. Have a great day !
