New Initiative Launched Today - The Investor & Issuer Forum Andy Griffiths, founder The Investor Forum CIC and Chris Kinder, CEO of The Investor Forum CIC today launched the The Investor & Issuer Forum (I&IF), a new initiative set to enhance the effectiveness of the UK equity markets. The I&IF is a key component of the broader reforms aimed at boosting market competitiveness and has been established following recommendations put forward by the CMIT - Capital Markets Industry Taskforce. It complements the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) ongoing initiatives to enhance market stewardship and is backed by the London Stock Exchange. Under the leadership of Michael McLintock, Chair of the The Investor Forum CIC and a distinguished steering committee—including Sir Jonathan Symonds (Chair, GSK), Rupert Soames (Chair, CBI (Confederation of British Industry), Mark Versey (CEO, Aviva Investors), and Sonja Laud (Schemmann) (CIO, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM))—the I&IF is well-positioned to shape a bold future for UK capital markets. The full committee will be appointed by the end of 2024. The I&IF is more than a discussion platform—it’s a call to action for market participants to come together to engage in constructive dialogue, share insights, and work towards the shared goal of sustainable value creation. With a focus on practical solutions, the forum serves as a vital link across the entire investment chain, aligning the viewpoints of companies, asset managers and asset owners to underpin a more efficient market and support the long-term growth of UK equity markets.
