𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸. 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯. I left my last full time role in September 2021, with no clear plan of what's next. I was about to finish a coaching qualification, but hadn't done that to be 'a Coach', I was just following intuition and interest. I decided just to let go and flow with the Universe, and see what came up. I ended up coaching, creating workshops and supporting companies with culture and leadership challenges. Through 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐲, eventually came up with Bloom, and the conversation I share here. It is my learnings and lived experience that form the foundation of what has become Bloom today. I used my own experience to create a step by step process I use to 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤. ✳️ 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 6 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴, I had a name, a leadership accelerator and my first cohort starting ✳️ 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 12 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴, I had honed my 1:1 process and was empowering women first hand to achieve amazing results ✳️ 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 18 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴, I had rebuilt Bloom as a platform; course, community, coaching and am now trying to help that grow 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠. You don't need to know where you are going either. You just have to start listening to that little voice inside you. Join me next Thursday and I will help you get started! #OurTimeToBloom #BloomTogether #TrustTheJourney #EmbraceUncertainty #FollowYourIntuition #BloomFromWithin #StartListening

🌟 Leadership Moments: When Listening Becomes Connection 🌟 Today, I had the incredible opportunity to sit down (virtually) with our new CEO, Dr. Jennifer Berry, during her inspiring listening tour. In a world where corporate interactions can often feel scripted, this conversation was refreshingly authentic. This call was definitely an "ah-HA!" for me. As a neuro-spicy professional, I deeply appreciate leaders who create space for genuine, unfiltered dialogue. She didn't just listen—she truly heard. Our discussion was both effortless and profound, sparking insights that reminded and concreted why I'm passionate about our mission of transforming student experiences. Watching Dr. Berry take the time to connect with each team member individually speaks volumes about her leadership philosophy. It's not just about strategic vision, but about understanding the unique perspectives that drive our collective success. I was reminded of and shared a powerful moment from my teaching career when I asked a 6-year-old 1st grader to define "success." Their response has shaped my life for good "Ms. Estes, success is being better than yesterday" – a profound insight that continues to inspire me. I'm genuinely excited about the path ahead and can't wait to see how her vision will continue to shape our company's impact on students nationwide. Thank you, Dr. Berry, for creating a moment of genuine connection and for valuing each voice in our organization. #Leadership #CompanyCulture #InclusiveWorkplace SmartLab

One of the most powerful tools in leadership is also one of the simplest: active listening. It’s more than just hearing words—it’s about truly understanding the perspectives, challenges, and insights of those around us. When we actively listen, we open doors to learning and growth. We gain access to a wealth of viewpoints that broaden our understanding, challenge assumptions, and ultimately provide clearer guidance for decision-making. Listening is not just about respecting others; it’s an opportunity to learn and make better-informed decisions that benefit everyone involved. Diverse voices make us stronger, and understanding these voices is the foundation for any meaningful progress. #Leadership #ActiveListening #DecisionMaking #Learning

It’s always rewarding to witness deeper connections forming in real-time. I had the privilege of working with Kim Nguyen-Ehrenreich at STEMful to help accelerate their team’s cohesion gel, given all the changes they had experienced in the last few months. After two hours, the impact was clear: 🌟“I now understand my co-workers on a deeper level.” 🌟“This opened a new line of communication and has built camaraderie!” 🌟 “I learned how to bring out the best in myself and how to support my team in doing the same.” When teams connect like this, they begin to resonate and are ready to solve the hardest problems. It's about connecting with the curiosity and courage we often see in kids! This is a core component to helping teams navigate constant changes, from shifting strategies to evolving staff dynamics. What steps are you taking to ensure your team is truly connected and resonating at a deeper level? #leadership #connectlikekids #teamcohesion

Public speaking is more than just sharing a message—it’s an opportunity to inspire, educate, and create meaningful change. Every time I step onto a stage or engage in conversation, my goal is to connect with people on a deeper level, sparking new ideas and perspectives. I believe in the power of words to uplift and empower others, leaving a lasting impact that can drive positive transformation. Whether I’m speaking to a large audience or a small group, I aim to be a catalyst for growth, helping others see the world differently and take action toward their goals. The ability to influence, to inspire, and to inform is a privilege I’m grateful for—and it’s a skill I continue to refine with every new opportunity. Let’s use our voices to make a difference! #PublicSpeaking #Inspiration #Leadership #Growth #Education #Impact

𝟳𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼, from both the good times and the tough ones. It's about growing. Think about it: → How do you handle tough spots? → How do you lift up your team? → How do you make things better? From restoring my first crashed server to becoming a voice for innovation and leadership in the tech community has been filled with invaluable lessons: → Real leading is more than just telling folks what to do; 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. → Going from working on tech in the field to leading other people meant I had to 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. → My own battles, like dealing with burnout, showed me how important it is to 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 when you're leading. → Starting to 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 our work better showed how making things more efficient can make a huge difference. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸: Being a leader isn't about having a fancy title. It's about what you do and the choices you make that inspire others and bring change. When I talk to folks who want to be leaders, I focus on: → Being 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 and 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻. → Sticking to what you 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻. → Having a desire to 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 new and different skills - what got you 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, won't get you 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. → Getting past doubts like, "Am I cut out for this?" or "Can I really make an impact?" is 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆. Think about a time in the recent past when you've learned and grown the most, both personally and professionally. What conditions existed for that to happen? For me, it's been in situations where people around me have been 1) like-minded in purpose, 2) passionate about the content or subject we were diving into together, and 3) willing to weigh in with their perspective and viewpoint, especially when it was different and challenging for (and to) me. Embracing situations where you are experiencing something new with others that takes you outside your comfort zone allows you to "think outside the box" and envision what could be. I encourage you to join a community that does that for you because I guarantee you'll develop as both a person and a leader. We are launching a NEW 4-week community for like-minded small business leaders 10/14 and have a few openings remaining. Ready to be challenged? Ready to be pushed to think outside the box? Come join the fun. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Email us: [email protected] Subject: Workplace: Gravitas #thinkoutsidethebox #likeminded #beyourbest #7taps #microlearning #mastermind #coaching #smallbusinessmatters #leadershiptraining #businessimulation #simulation #professionaldevelopment #community
