LinkedIn has automatically implemented a feature allowing your personal data to be used in training both their (and their affiliates) generative AI models. By default you are opting in based on how their settings are configured. You would need to manually toggle this off if you do not want your personal data to be used in this manner. To turn this off, you can go to your settings, data privacy, and then click the following header and toggle from “on” to “off” - hope this helps. #privacy #generativeAI #AI

No one reads the terms and conditions, so LinkedIn is now using your data in its GenAI training models. What does that mean? Your posts, articles, frequency of interaction, etc are used to train its own AI models to provide content to everyone. But, LinkedIn does give you the ability to opt-out of this 'feature'. Everyone on LinkedIn is auto enrolled to have this setting switched on with allows LinkedIn and its affiliates to use your personal data and content you create on LinkedIn for generative AI improvement and for content creation AI models. Personally, I don't agree that 1 Billion members on LinkedIn should have been auto-enrolled in this data privacy setting without being informed. The good news is that if you don't want this switched on, you can control it. Go to your LinkedIn account settings, select Data Privacy and then Data for Generative AI improvement. The more you know. #linkedin #privacy #ai #generativeai #data

Sharing for awareness. LinkedIn has activated a new AI feature that i do not recall granting prior notification or consent. This feature enables them to utilize user data to train their AI and grants access to this data to their affiliates. To disable this feature, navigate to your profile settings, then go to data privacy and select data for generative AI improvement to turn it off. Stay informed and in control of your data privacy. #LinkedIn #AI #DataPrivacy #Awareness
