Venture capital (VC) is all about building connections, but how do investors know when it’s time to move on? New research from Gustavson’s Qianqian Du sheds light on this tricky decision. While sticking with familiar co-investors has its perks, venture capitalists also need to consider the cost of not exploring new partnerships. The study, based on US data, shows that VCs tend to slowly step back from very deep relationships, especially during hot investment markets, where new partnerships often don’t last as long. Surprisingly, stronger prior relationships don’t always lead to better investment results. Check out the full study to see how VCs manage their networks: 🔗 https://ow.ly/Ka8Q50ThVAu
