#Audiometric testing helps determine if there are any early indications of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Occupational hearing loss happens gradually over time. Employees often fail to notice changes in their hearing ability until a relatively large change occurs. Annual hearing tests at Enliven Occupational Health can prevent this. 👂🎧 Contact Troy Lowther on 304 627-7804 today to find out more! Occupational noise-induced hearing loss Good (NIHL) is a major compensable occupational disease in Malaysia which involves substantial economic burden. Exposure to excessive noise also entails largely unrecognized costs to organizations by way of increased employee turnover and absenteeism, lowered performance and possible contribution to accidents. MyFreelys Academy would like to invite you to join our upcoming program on Noise & Hearing training that provide an awareness all workers who are exposed to high noise level. The proposed program aim is to provide the necessary information and to caution workers from having a permanent hearing impairment. The regulation clearly stipulates that it is a must for workers to repeat the training session every two years. Hearing Protection #Noise exposure #Noise Level #Safety The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) calls an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) of 85 decibels (dBA) the action level. This level requires an employer to provide a hearing conservation program for employees who are exposed to noise at or above it. The NIOSH also recommends an 85 dBA TWA as the exposure limit for occupational noise. NIOSH says that workers exposed to noise at or above this level are at risk of developing significant hearing loss over time....

#Ototoxic chemicals can cause hearing loss while at work. Sometimes, hearing loss can be worse when the employer/employee has been exposed to both ototoxic chemicals and loud noises. Damage can occur, even if both the noise and the chemical are at recommended levels. Building an Occupational Hearing Conservation Program can be tough. Look no further! At Enliven Occupational Health, our Hearing Conservationists can help you build a program, train employees, and provide hearing tests. 👂 Dr. James Leonette #enlivenoh #safetyhazard #hearinglossawareness #hearingtest #SafetyFirst #noisecontrol #audiology #hearingtest #audiogram #audiology #hearingloss #healthandsafetyatwork #audiometrictesting #compliance #PPE #preventinjury #compliance #ototoxic #ototoxichearingloss #NoiseControl
