Brazilian investors join forces to support brain tech startups. Neuroscientist Miguel Nicolelis, professor emeritus Duke University, and Flavio Pripas, General Partner at Staged Ventures, launched a US$200 million VC fund to help "transform healthcare and enhance human performance through cutting-edge innovations in areas such as brain-machine interfaces, neurodiagnostics, and cognitive enhancement". Other movers & shakers in the Brazil tech scene of last month included: * Teachy, the #edtech startup leveraging AI to support teachers, secured a series A R$40 million round led by Goodwater Founder: Pedro Siciliano * #legaltech platform Jusbrasil raised US$86.1 million round led by Warburg Pincus LLC cc @ Founders: Rafael C.
