We started this business with a question: how can we use dining as a space for complete strangers to really connect? And one year and 50+ dinner parties later, we have learned SO much about curating spaces where people feel comfortable. Here are 3 things we started doing to perfect the experience and foster long-lasting connections between guests: 1)✨Including “conversation menus.” It’s intimidating to start from scratch with a stranger! We provide questionnaires at each table with questions like “what is your craziest New Yorker story” to break the ice for you and take the pressure off. 2)👩🏻🍳 Saving an hour for guests to mingle before choosing their seats. We start off with a wine or cocktail hour so that guests can mingle with as many people as possible before the meal begins. That means when the dinner service begins, guests can find their seats with newfound friends to continue forming meaningful connections. 3)🍴Hosting at memorable restaurants. We believe that setting is everything! We all remember where we were when we met our close friends or partners, which is why we find the most iconic and unique dining experiences in New York so our guests can bond over a one-of-a-kind meal.
