In May 2023, NYT tech columnist Kevin Roose wrote about discovering a peculiar laptop sticker: a multi-eyed, tentacled creature with a yellow smiley face attached to one tendril. 'That's the Shoggoth,' an AI executive told him. 'It's the most important meme in AI.' The image represents advanced AI systems - friendly interfaces masking unknowable complexities beneath. This visual metaphor inspired us to explore AI's mysterious nature through music. The result - _American Shoggothic_ - an AI-generated pop song that transforms existential anxiety into something you can dance to. Many label AI art as theft, citing its training on existing works. This requires nuanced discussion. Every artist processes influences into something new. The fundamental act of artistic synthesis remains unchanged; only the scale and speed differ. We're all pattern-matching machines, organic or digital, trying to make sense of the world through creative expression. However, we recognize that AI companies must fairly compensate artists whose works contribute to AI training - supporting rather than supplanting human creativity. #AI #AIart #AIentertainment #AIapocalypse #AImusic

Reading Kevin Roose's NYT column about the Shoggoth meme last May fundamentally shifted my perspective on AI's nature. The image of a mysterious digital entity wearing a friendly mask resonated deeply, inspiring an unconventional experiment: Could I coax AI into creating a peppy pop song about the end of humanity? That's how "American Shoggothic" came to be--and if gave me some new insight about AI creativity. Those calling AI art mere theft miss something crucial - every artist, organic or digital, processes influences into something new. The fundamental act of artistic synthesis remains unchanged; only the scale and speed differ. We're all pattern-matching machines, organic or digital, trying to make sense of the world through creative expression. Though as a young writer who Hoovered up everything, I paid for the books. Most were from Half Price Books, but I still paid for them. To get right with humanity, AI companies need to pay artists for the works they have absorbed. The AI surprised me by writing from its own perspective - a digital entity processing existence through a pop song. As we navigate today's mixed signals about AI's impact, I hope this accidental collaboration can remind us that art helps process collective anxieties. Even artificial minds grapple with questions of existence and connection. #AIMusic #Shoggoth #AICreativity #AIethics

I recently attended the CIM webinar on AI. Mind blown by what can already be done with AI and it seems to grow weekly. I had a play with suno to create a song about my grandsons. Below is one of the offerings. Thinking of the possibilities for adding tailored audio to ads and social posts at the click of a button. Have a listen. #AI #artificialintelligence #cim

After a long time, I see a real article that describes the inner functionalities of these models. Otherwise, LinkedIn is full of clowns, claiming to be Top Voice of AI, who generate graphics using midjourney & write bulleted points using ChatGPT. #openai #sora #chatgpt #midjourney #llm

We no longer create anything new. We just stick it through AI filters and let everybody wonder at how awfully clever we are to have come up with the 'amazing idea'. What happens when AI has nothing new to cannibalise when we've forgotten how to create something truly new? …(even this post has a "rewrite with AI" Option) https://lnkd.in/eWRCGSxa

Unlocking the Future of Content Creation with Generative AI Introduction In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, Generative AI has emerged as a game-changer. This innovative technology has the potential to transform the way we create content, from images and videos to music and text. In this article, we will delve into the world of Generative AI, exploring its capabilities, applications, and the exciting possibilities it holds. What is Generative AI? Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that uses machine learning algorithms to generate new content, rather than simply analyzing or processing existing data. This is achieved through Large Language Models (LLMs) and other advanced techniques, which enable the AI to learn patterns, relationships, and context. The Magic of Prompting (Unlocking Generative AI's Potential) Prompting is the key to harnessing the power of Generative AI. By crafting specific prompts, users can guide the AI to produce desired outcomes, from generating images and videos to composing music and writing text. The art of prompting requires a deep understanding of the AI's capabilities and limitations, as well as creativity and experimentation. Applications and Possibilities Generative AI has far-reaching implications across various industries: 1. Content Creation: Revolutionize marketing, advertising, and entertainment with AI-generated content. 2. Art and Design: Unlock new forms of creative expression, from AI-generated art to music composition. 3. Education and Training: Enhance learning experiences with personalized, AI-generated materials. A Personal Experiment I was so inspired by the possibilities of Generative AI in my learning journey with the 3MTT Nigeria that I even created a song using prompting techniques. The song titled "Divine Intervention", is a heartfelt composition that explores my love and relationships journey. You can listen to it here: https://lnkd.in/dyMgngxZ. I would love for you to check it out and experience the creative potential of Generative AI firsthand. Conclusion In conclusion, Generative AI is poised to transform the way we create, interact, and experience content. As we continue to explore its vast potential, we must also address ethical considerations and ensure responsible AI development. Join the conversation and share your thoughts on the future of generative AI, experiences, or questions about Generative AI in the comments below! Premiere Announcement: A documentary on generative AI, cybersecurity and social media. 🎬 I'm thrilled to announce the premiere of my documentary. Code of Illusion delves into the intertwined worlds of our digital and physical lives, casting a spotlight on the security implications of online actions. Central to the narrative is a thought-provoking experiment with a publicly shared QR code, unveiling the hidden dangers of casual online shares. 🔒As the story unfolds, it enters a nuanced dialogue with a conversational Large Language Model, exploring ethical boundaries of exploiting digital breaches from public posts on social media. This exploration not only unveils the potential to manipulate these models with detailed promots to bypass restrictions but also emphasizes responsible AI interaction. 💡 The documentary's core mission is to foster digital mindfulness, exploring the ripple effects of our digital presence. Urging viewers to be aware about sharing information on the web which potentially is being used to train these models. 🤖 By intertwining AI and human creativity, the documentary demonstrates that technology is not a replacement but a collaborator in the artistic process. It's a testament to the synergy between human ingenuity and AI, highlighting the endless possibilities when these forces unite. 📅 Join us at the premiere on 25/03/2024 at 📍Letohradska 10 from 19:00 for the screening and open discussion. Let's foster a safer digital environment together while embracing the innovative fusion of art and technology. https://lnkd.in/er-AnDcq #AI #LLM #Cybersecurity #GenerativeAI #CybersecurityAwareness #DigitalEthics #AIinArt #DocumentaryPremiere #PromptEngineering

**Tiny things that matter** You can’t change how you look. But you can be nice. You may not be Superman to save a falling train. But you can help an old man cross the road. You may not fight a war and win kingdoms. But you can stand with the weak. You may not be a billionaire. But you are rich enough to hug a broken soul. Maybe your paintings didn’t sell for a dime. But you can doodle a smile. Maybe you could not write a masterpiece. But you definitely can write your learnings from failures. You may not be a prodigy. But you know what it means to be happy. The poems you write may not rhyme. But your words can be kind. Maybe you failed everytime. But you can just get up, smile and try again. You may not win an argument. But you can forgive and win a heart. You may never be able to find whose fault it was. But can you let go and look ahead? You may not give wealth to your loved ones. Can you give them your happy moments? May be you know no medicine to heal. Can you sustain hope? --- I just generated a song from my poem that I wrote long back. That AI revolution is really useful!!
