What a great conversation today at Common Sense Institute Arizona’s Coffee & Common Sense! Our panelists, Stacy Pearson and Daniel Scarpinato broke down the election results, and talked about what they mean for free enterprise, bipartisanship, and public policy in Arizona. The consensus: candidates who were able to validate voters’ real concerns about inflation, crime, homelessness, etc. had a very good election cycle up and down the ticket. But now it’s time to govern. Look for bipartisan cooperation on issues like affordable housing, water, and the state budget. Thanks to our gracious host and partner for this event, Arizona Center for Civic Leadership. Follow Common Sense Institute Arizona for the facts and data on the issues that mattered most this election cycle, as we head into the 2025 legislative session.

Since America’s founding almost 250 years ago, the nature and scale of the threats to our democracy have changed more than the founders ever could have imagined. Enter Governors Safeguarding Democracy (GSD). Launched by Governor JB Pritzker of Illinois and Governor Jared Polis of Colorado, and grounded in the belief that saving and strengthening our democracy will require proactive, robust efforts at the state-level, Governors Safeguarding Democracy is a historic nonpartisan alliance of governors united in their efforts to uphold and fortify U.S. democracy. GSD, with the support of Governors Action Alliance (GovAct), will collaborate with think tanks, legal experts, and democracy advocates to shape policy that protects the rule of law and serves the people of our states. By supporting state leaders with tools, knowledge, and resources to protect and strengthen state democratic institutions, GSD seeks to ensure that American democracy remains vibrant, resilient, and inclusive. Dig in on what we do and how we do it on our website 🇺🇸👇 https://lnkd.in/gnG3RbsY
