🎖 Honoring Veterans and Celebrating Legacy As we reflect on service and sacrifice, I want to share a few things that being a Veteran taught me—lessons that extend well beyond the military. During my time in uniform, I learned about discipline, resilience, and teamwork in ways that shape how I approach every challenge. Military life didn’t just prepare me to serve my country—it taught me how to approach every aspect of my life with purpose and integrity. From strategic planning to mentoring others, these lessons continue to guide my journey. Today, I apply those same principles in helping teams and individuals craft their own visions and build paths to their goals. Veterans have unique perspectives that bring resilience and resolve to any environment, and I’m proud to carry that legacy forward in my work. Veterans Day is a reminder that service doesn’t end when we leave the military. It’s about applying what we’ve learned and continuing to make an impact—whether on a team, in a community, or in personal growth. To my fellow Veterans—how has your service shaped your journey? Let’s share and celebrate the ways we’re all still making a difference.

Remembrance Day is a time to pause and reflect on the profound sacrifices made by those who served and continue to serve in the armed forces 🎖️ It’s a moment to honour not only their bravery but also the resilience of military families who support them through the challenges of deployment, separation, and the uncertainties that accompany military life 💗 For many, this day brings up a range of emotions; gratitude, pride, sorrow, and perhaps even personal memories of loved ones 💔 In reflecting on these sacrifices, it’s also an opportunity to hold space for our own healing, to remember that the courage shown by these individuals can inspire us to find strength and resilience within ourselves 💪🏽 This Remembrance Day, may we honour their legacy by carrying forward their commitment to a purpose beyond personal limits, one that exemplifies courage, sacrifice, and unity. As we remember, let’s ask ourselves: how can we bring more of this spirit into our own lives, fostering resilience and empathy in the ways we support one another?

If you’re a Servicemember or Veteran, I highly recommend that you apply for this program. The program approaches transition from a holistic perspective, addressing both the psychological and spiritual aspects as well as the pragmatic aspects of what comes next. It is what TAPS should be in an ideal world.

Veterans with mobility issues through being wounded, injured, illness or age, deserve to be able to travel with dignity, not be manhandked on and off aircraft like a sack of potatoes, risking injury, or death. They deserve to know their wheelchairs will not be damaged during a flight or during loading and unloading. United Airlines had the opportunity to have its replacement fleet accessible but chose not do. Janet do not wait for legislation that could force your airline to be accessible but show some humanity and humility to not only disabled veterans but all mobility disabled people, first by starting discussions with your aircraft manufacturers to make accessibility a priority. https://chng.it/XLVWt2Ls5y #unitedairlines #health #wellbeing #veterans #MemorialDay #AccessibleTravel #Wheelchairs #Disability #Transportation #aviation #AccessibleTourism #PVA #aircraft #accessibility #military #veteransaffairs
This Memorial Day, we remember those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. And to the many veterans, family members and friends of the military who have been impacted by loss and have reason to hold this day close to the heart, including our own United community members, we honor you.
