These are the faces that inspire me every day. Students like Priscilla, Inez, Miguel, and Alan show incredible resilience, overcoming challenges like foster care, homelessness, and anxiety. They remind me what’s possible when given the right tools and support. At Sharefest, we don’t just help students get by—we empower them to thrive. This video captures the heart of what we do, and it’s one of the most impactful stories we’ve ever shared. I hope it inspires you as much as it inspires me. Here’s how you can help: - Donate: Your support fuels mentorship, career prep, and college guidance for over 500 students a year: https://shorturl.at/yYmfC - Partner with Us: Hire, provide an internship or mentor our students and invest in the next generation of talent. - Volunteer: Join us for mock interviews or other student engagement opportunities. Together, we can break cycles of poverty and transform futures. Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, let’s connect. #Sharefest #YouthEmpowerment #Breakthroughs #CareerConnections #NonprofitWork

Yea, today is the day where we are overwhelmed with appeals from organizations. It is an important day. But, supporting an organization, or a cause, is not just about what you give today, its about building better. A few days ago I re-posted an idea to rebrand non-profit organizations as social-profit organizations. This concept is ringing louder to me every day. The work of non-profit organizations- the staff, the funders, the beneficiaries-- is to create a better something: human, community, system, etc. Our society depends on these organizations. So, I encourage you to make a donation today and/or in the next couple of weeks. You have a lot of options and, personally, I would ask you to consider supporting, Foster Progress. With your support we empower more foster youth to beat the odds and succeed in higher education. Your donation helps provide: 📚 Scholarships for tuition and books 🤝 Mentors to guide students through challenges 🏫 Advocacy to navigate college systems You can donate here: https://lnkd.in/g4mzzANh

What is the role of schools? Is it simply to educate, prepare students for exams, and ensure university placements? At AIS, we believe it’s so much more. Schools should inspire students to be compassionate global citizens, approach the world with curiosity, and ask themselves, How can I make a difference? As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” True education doesn’t just teach—it nurtures values, builds character, and empowers students to contribute meaningfully to society. Working with Barbara Lee and her incredible mission at Child at Street 11 Ltd has been a humbling reminder of the transformative power of education. Barbara’s dedication to giving every child an opportunity to thrive and break the cycle of disadvantage is awe-inspiring. Seeing this aligns deeply with what we strive for at AIS: fostering an education that nurtures Respect, Opportunity, and Achievement for every child. A special thank you to Trent Green for leading this initiative, Farhana Suhaimi for quickly pulling together a powerful video, and our amazing Elementary School student leaders for embodying our core values: Respect: Celebrating diversity and the unique potential of every child. Opportunity: Offering avenues for growth and supporting communities through meaningful actions. Achievement: Making a tangible impact through compassion and leadership. As I witness the incredible work of our AIS teachers, I can only hope that the children at Child at Street 11 receive the same opportunity for an education that sets them on the right path. Charity begins at home, but its ripple effects can reach far beyond. Together, we can make a difference. 🌍 #EducationForChange #GlobalCitizens #AISRespectOpportunityAchievement
At AIS Elementary, we’re excited to support Child at Street 11, a wonderful organisation nurturing children from all backgrounds, through our Festive Arts & Craft Donation Drive. With our 4 houses (Lachlan, Murray, Fitzroy and Derwent), our students can each pick an item to purchase from our Festive Giving Wishlist, wrap it with care, and bring it to your classroom’s collection box. Together, let’s bring joy and spark creativity with every gift of art supplies we collect! 🗓️ When: November 11 - December 5 Let’s spread festive cheer and support the children at Child at Street 11 this holiday season! #WeAreAIS #AustralianInternationalSchool #FestiveGiving #StudentLeaders

I just learned that today is National Single Parent Day - a day dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary efforts of single parents everywhere. I can quite literally think of no more demanding, relentless, all-encompassing experience than single parenting. If you know a single parent, consider giving them some love today (and often). 1 - offer to watch their child 2 - make them a homemade meal 3 - donate to: https://lnkd.in/gtp77Kpx which provides resources to single parents who make too much to qualify for government assistant, but not enough to come close to thriving Single parents, we see you.

As we head toward Thanksgiving, we're reminded of the importance of connection and gratitude. In 2024 we have been... Supporting Baal Dan Charities to help 1,472 impoverished and vulnerable children in 6 developing and emerging countries. Supporting the MREF by donating backpacks of school supplies to underprivileged children in the US, as well as funding educational access for children globally. Supporting the WIRe Global Scholarship Fund to provide educational opportunities to aspiring women from underprivileged countries. Conducting research on access to mental health services in the US to create awareness and encourage more dialogue around the topic. Donating to various schools within the US to support the education of children. Serving meals to disadvantaged communities in CT, OH, and TX. “Adopting” struggling families to provide wrapped gifts during the holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s to a future of endless possibilities. Jami, Tom, and the entire Veridata Team #mrx #marketresearch #dataanalytics #veridata #thanksgiving

We are on a mission to breathe new life into Quibdòs early education system, a place where countless bright futures are being shaped. Right now, many of the schools located in Quibdò are in urgent need of renovation, and the students lack essential books and fundamental materials. Take a moment to look at this picture. This run-down classroom is the current reality for many children. But together, we can change that. We envision a vibrant, well-equipped school where every child can thrive. But we can't do it alone. We need your support to turn this vision into reality Here is how you can make a difference: - Share: Help us spread the word. The more people know about our cause, the more support we can gather. - Donate: Your generous contributions, big or small, will directly fund the renovations and new learning materials. Let's come together to give these children the education they deserve. Thank you for your support. #EducationForAll #CommunitySupport #HelpNow #NonProfit #ForTheChildren #ChangeMakers #ImpactLives #EmpowerYouth #TogetherWeCan #JoinTheCause #Equality

As the holiday season approaches, the spirit of giving often takes center stage. While this seasonal generosity is invaluable, it’s essential to recognize that nonprofits need your support year-round. In fact, right now is a critical time for donations, especially for organizations like Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation. It's so great to see other non-profit organizations lift each other up on GivingTuesday, a day when the interwebs can get flooded with #GivingTuesday campaigns and donation asks. Here's my pitch for Spread the Word Nevada: Got a spare $5? That can provide a new book this holiday season to a child that needs it the most. Book ownership is crucial to shaping our future because it equips children with the tools for success. Your contribution puts books in the hands of children in underserved communities who need them most. Owning books fosters a love of reading, boosts literacy skills, and encourages lifelong learning. For children, access to books at home improves academic performance, critical thinking, and creativity, setting them up for brighter futures. When we provide books to those who might otherwise go without, we’re investing in empowered, informed citizens who will drive positive change for generations to come. Book ownership isn’t just about stories; it’s about unlocking potential and shaping a better tomorrow. Happy Giving Tuesday! 💙📖 This holiday season, join us in spreading the joy of reading. Be part of a heartwarming tradition that brings the magic of books to children in need. #GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 10 years, this idea has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. ✨️ We’re thrilled to announce that every dollar you give today will go twice as far thanks to the generosity of The Jon E. Cobain Trust. The Jon E. Cobain Trust has pledged to match all donations up to $10,000 — helping us further our mission to put books into the hands and homes of Nevada’s children in underserved communities.
