Headed today to #FabConEurope so it is fitting that my tip for this week is to take a look at #fabricmirroring for #AzureSQL. I often see customers struggle with "mixed" workloads on their database so often a technique is to offload the read users to a replica. Fabric Mirroring for SQL provides a nice solution for this. Furthermore, you have the benefit of being integrated into #MicrosoftFabric and all the goodness it provides. Here is a bonus. Mirroring storage in Fabric is free! Give it a spin today by setting up a free Fabric trial and use the free offer for Azure SQL Database (https://aka.ms/freedboffer). https://lnkd.in/gvMSRvQy.

In Azure Fabric Big tables, bear in mind if your table count of rows is greater than 2.5 B, you have to use COUNT_BIG instead of COUNT in order to be able to count this table newly introduced at Azure Fabric warehouse, however in Fabric Spark same spark sql or Spark dataframe count function can be used with small and large tables.
