Hello Everyone, I recently had the opportunity to interview for the role of SDE1 - Frontend at Fynd (Shopsense Retail Technologies Ltd.). I wanted to share my interview experience with you all. I came across an opening on Fynd's careers page and applied through a referral. Shortly after, I received a call from HR to begin the interview process, which consisted of four rounds. Interview Process 1. Technical Round (JavaScript + LLD) Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes - JavaScript output-based questions - JavaScript conceptual questions, such as closures and debouncing - Coding questions: Polyfill for Promise.all and object flattening - Low-level design for a vlogging website 2. Technical Round (HTML, CSS, JS) Duration: 40 minutes - The interviewer provided a Figma design (JIRA design) and asked me to code it in HTML and CSS, with an additional JavaScript functionality. 3. HR Round (Behavioral + Salary Discussion) Duration: 1 hour - Standard behavioral questions 4. Technical Round (Core JavaScript) Duration: 40 minutes - Conducted by the Director of Engineering, focusing on previous projects - Verbal explanation of polyfills for setTimeout and setInterval - Discussion of the most challenging task I’ve undertaken - Questions about my knowledge of Fynd Despite my last interview going very well, I was ultimately not selected. When I asked HR for feedback on my rejection, I did not receive a specific reason. I believe it might have been due to my request for a 70-80% salary hike 😅. I’m sharing this post to provide insight into my interview experience and to help others who might be preparing for similar roles. #interview_experience #frontend #SDE #frontend_interview

Below is a list of companies that offer a base salary of 10L+ to SDE 1 and most of them offer 20L+ base salary to SDE 2, as per Glassdoor, LeetCode, and AmbitionBox. I can definitely vouch for the companies : #PayPal and #Tesco here, but do your due diligence for other companies when it comes to work-life balance, work culture etc. P.S: List has backlink to company page, which is clickable only when the pdf is downloaded. #jobs #hiring #softwarengineer #sde #engineer #salary #ctc #linkedin #career #openings

🚀 Interview Experience at SkilloVilla 🚀 🔍 Position Applied: SDE-1(Frontend) 📅 Date of Interview: 3rd Oct 2024 Round 2️⃣ - Machine Coding Task - I was asked to integrate the API for testimonials and display them one by one when the progress bar reaches 100%. Tech Stack - ReactJs, VanillaCSS (No CSS or component library was allowed to use) Task Link - https://lnkd.in/dVuYmxYb Figma -https://lnkd.in/d6RzMArv Time Allotted - 1hr 15min Although within the allotted time I was able to implement the UI with responsiveness, I was only halfway through the progress functionality. Due to time constraints, I had to submit it as it was. Later, I continued working on the task and used TailwindCSS for styling. For the progress timer, I set 250ms per word in the testimonials. The total time taken to complete this was 1hr 5min. 🌟 Journey Through the Big Oh Tech SDE Hiring Process 🌟 Excited to share my recent experience interviewing for the Software Development Engineer (SDE) role at Big Oh Tech! This journey has been both challenging and enriching, providing me with a deeper understanding of my skills and areas for growth. Here's a quick breakdown of the process: 1️⃣ Round 1: Coding Challenges The first coding round involved solving two intense problems. The first was on bit manipulation, pushing me to think creatively and optimize my solution. The second was a real-time situation problem requiring a greedy approach—a true test of applying algorithms to real-world scenarios. 2️⃣ Round 2: Object-Oriented Design This round focused on OOP design principles, where I had the chance to demonstrate my approach to designing systems with scalability and efficiency in mind. 3️⃣ Tech Stack & Interest Discussion Next up was a deep dive into the tech stacks I’ve worked with and my other interests, providing an opportunity to align my skills and passions with Big Oh Tech's vision. 4️⃣ Final Formal Discussion Wrapping up with a formal discussion gave insight into the culture and expectations at Big Oh Tech, rounding off a holistic view of what it would be like to work with such an innovative team. Through each stage, I gained a lot of insight and motivation to continue honing my skills. Thankful for the opportunity to interview with a forward-thinking company like Big Oh Tech and excited for what lies ahead! #SDE #TechInterview #BigOhTech #CareerJourney #SoftwareDevelopment

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝗗𝗘 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 Full Interview Experience Link - https://lnkd.in/dFmXiEH4 I recently had the opportunity to interview for an SDE Android position at Blinkit. While I learned a lot from the experience, I didn't make it through. Here's a reflection on the key reasons for my rejection: 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵: I realized that my understanding of certain topics wasn't deep enough. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝗨𝗽 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Even when I was giving correct answers, I lacked confidence during follow-up questions. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Some topics I hadn't implemented in depth practically, which was expected for a role requiring 2 years of experience. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝘀. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲: While theoretical knowledge is important, it's crucial to have hands-on experience and test various scenarios yourself. 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: It's essential to have a clear logical reason for every decision made in your projects. You need to know why you implemented something, what the alternative options were, and why you chose a particular feature. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Prepare thoroughly from your resume. Every question can start from the points mentioned in your resume, so be ready to discuss each one in detail. Learning from this experience, I am committed to deepening my knowledge, gaining more practical experience, and ensuring I am thoroughly prepared for future opportunities. Keep trying and never give up! 💪 #InterviewExperience #AndroidDevelopment #CareerGrowth #LearningFromFailure
