Just like coordinated moves can ensure that everyone has a great time together, coordination within teams can avoid confusion, negativity and hurt. 3. Inclusivity: Both dances bring people of different states and countries together, transcending barriers. A great team too values diversity and inclusivity, leveraging different strengths. 4. Energy and Enthusiasm: The infectious energy of these dances reminds us that a motivated and enthusiastic team can overcome any challenge. 5. Adaptability: In Garba and Dandiya, dancers often adapt their steps to the music and their partners. Similarly, flexibility and adaptability are key in dynamic work environments. Spirit of Garba: A Lesson in Teamwork and Determination As we celebrate Navratri, I am sharing a heartwarming video of an 80-year-old Gujarati Dadi playing Garba with full energy and enthusiasm. Her passion, dedication, and love for the tradition are truly inspiring. Despite her age, she moves gracefully, reminding us that age is just a number when your spirit is strong. Her vibrant energy is a perfect metaphor for the power of teamwork. Just like in Garba, where each dancer brings their unique rhythm, in a team, each member contributes their own strengths to create harmony. Every step matters, every individual counts. "यथा हि संघात बलानां रूपं भवति तादृशम्। तथा बुद्ध्या बलं प्राप्तं कार्ये साधयते जनः॥" "Power of a group of individuals is magnified through unity, in the same way, wisdom and strength gained together allow us to accomplish any task." Garba is not just a dance; it’s a celebration of unity, resilience, and trust. When we dance in circles, we mirror the movement of the universe itself, where everything is interconnected. In the same way, the success of a team is determined by how well we move together, trust each other, and adapt to challenges. The lesson we learn from Dadi and from Garba is clear.. when we move as one, when we support and uplift each other, we can accomplish incredible things—no matter the obstacles. As the Sanskrit shlok says: "सह वीर्यं करवावहै।" "Together, may we strive with great energy." Let’s embrace the spirit of Garba, and work with the same enthusiasm and energy to achieve our collective goals.
