Increases in capability are both exponential and ubiquitous, AI will be everywhere and likely before you can imagine! Martin Nebelong has touched on the exact points regarding using AI for creativity: control and being a side quick for professionals. Art is about control of the creative process. If you don’t have control it might still be art but probably you’re not the artist. The AI is. And AI should be used as our ally in developing works further and quicker. Never as a surrogate. Heck, the most exciting thing about art is DOING IT. If that goes away WTF are we doing then, giving away for free the best part of the job? People who present AI as a risk to human creativity are totally missing the point. It is an incredibly powerful upgrade to our brains. But not a replacement. Each one of us still need to develop the intelligence that’s sitting between our own ears.

I agree, there are some missed opportunities here for #adobe, which they need to address quickly. For #leadership, this is the defining moment when they elect to try to stamp out innovation, because they can’t stay ahead of it, or they realize they need to save the body but a limb is going to have to go. This is the same kind of thing #google is facing, and you either have #SteveBallmer as your leader, or #SteveJobs 2.0, the reckoning. Can Adobe follow-up with their own software, execute some M&As, or will they be usurped by someone (or a community) that delivers with an #opensource model? The premium GenAI tools using these setups are indeed becoming potential commercial disruptors, if not the ultimately the market usurpers themselves. Nimble pivoting vs. the big, creaky bureaucracy of #enterprise. Very few have truly excellent “flat organizational” structures, despite hierarchy, to survive this type of requisite #changemanagement. At this point in a parabolic cycle of exponential change, #holocracy might soon become the only sustainable business model. Watch the long-term horizon of any F500 insisting on 5-days on-site. The majority of those who remain rigid won’t survive, not with a majority Millennial, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha workforce. The threat doesn’t just have to come from outside, a company can become its own worst enemy. Holocracy does not, by definition, involve #remote, but in my post-pandemic assessment, it does. The included video demo is the way #graphicdesign and related #imaging are going to change. #Talent will remain useful, so will #skills, but I think we’re going to witness a technological fragmentation: 1.) Experienced users before #genai, who picked up these tools. 2.) Non-experienced users before/after #genai who may not have had talent or crafted skills mastery. Where do these unite at a point where they compete? The answer is the same it’s always been, and will continue to be: can you tell a good #story (whether that’s video, images, 3D, interfaces, or a mix of these and more)? _ #storytelling, or for those in #xr, #storyliving as someone I know would say.

One of our patents involves being able to enter such #generativeai worlds, where your engagement is what causes the #storyliving to unfold. This is but one example of professionals doing #creative manually, but with our offering, the world(s) and its inhabitants (be they human and/or AI) are populated in real-time.
