Delving deep into Hosted Control Plane options for Kubernetes akin to those provided by cloud giants such as EKS, GKE, and AKS, we've stumbled upon a treasure trove of tools like Kamaji, KCP, and Hypershift. Our team is currently in the trenches, evaluating these tools for the deployment of a valued customer. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey navigating the realm of Hosted Control Plane solutions for Kubernetes. Exciting times lie ahead! #Kubernetes #CloudNative #HostedControlPlane #openshift #cloud

There are "Serverless Kubernetes" clusters (or at least that's what I like to call them). A few that come to mind are: ✅ GKE Autopilot ✅ EKS with Fargate The gist is that with one of these services, you no longer have to manage underlying Worker Nodes. Everything is managed by the cloud provider. This can be absolutely great in some environments, but not in environments where customization is important. For example, until just recently, you couldn't run a Service Mesh on GKE Autopilot and you still cannot run it on EKS Fargate. As with every abstraction layer, you have to abide by the cloud provider's rules. Keep this in mind when thinking about using one of the "Serverless Kubernetes" services. #kubernetes #devops #platformengineering

Kubernetes is a must for managing microservices and containerized applications at scale. It automates deployment, scaling, and operation of application containers across clusters. Popular tools like Helm and Prometheus can help streamline the deployment and monitoring of your Kubernetes clusters. If you're new to Kubernetes, here’s a guide on getting started! #Kubernetes #Microservices #Cloud #Scalability

When to switch from Serverless to Kubernetes Cloud functions and lambda functions bring the serverless model to life. Ideal for quick, short-lived tasks, they excel in simplicity. And they scale well for specific workloads. But as tasks grow in complexity or demand more time to execute, the limitations become clear. Kubernetes offers a robust, flexible alternative. Is it time to transition to a solution that can handle more complex needs? Your move could redefine efficiency and scalability. #kubernetes #cloud #firney
