Our fallen heros should be recognized, including the 43 persons Americans killed in Palestinian. The loss of twelve soldiers in Afghanistan and recently forty-three individuals in Palestine is nothing short of a tragedy. These lives, each with their own stories, dreams, and families, were cut short in circumstances that demand our attention and compassion. It is imperative that we recognize the profound impact of these losses, not only on the immediate families but on our society as a whole. The government has a responsibility to honor these individuals, ensuring that their sacrifices are not forgotten and that their families receive the support and recognition they deserve. unfortunately under Biden and Harris this would never be done, Properly. In times of such sorrow, it is crucial for our leaders to step forward with empathy and action. The government must take concrete steps to provide for the families left behind, offering both emotional and financial support. Additionally, it is essential to address the underlying issues that led to these tragic events, working towards a future where such losses are minimized. By acknowledging these individuals and taking decisive action, we can begin to heal and honor their memories in a meaningful way. unfortunately under Biden this has not been done and if under Harris this would never be done, Properly.

A dear friend has a great saying that I feel fits with Dr. Richard Fejo’s post below. “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.” What this means in relation to Dr Fejo’s post is that we can call the incarceration (jailing) of children, some only 10 years old which is the average age of a child in grade 5 of primary school, as necessary and then take these children away from their community (parents/family/elders/school/sports/friends/teachers) so they have zero access to what they need to grow, in order to ‘teach them a lesson’. This IS what the Stolen Generations of Indigenous children suffered. We are still stealing these children from their families. Please do not mistake me - I am not exonerating the wrong doing of these children. But they are CHILDREN! And two wrongs do not make a right. The adults need to be doing better. ALL Adults. If it worked, if jailing children fixed the problems, sure (not really!). BUT IT DOESN’T. Australia MUST see this, really look at this in all its horribleness. It is happening right now, in November 2024. This has to stop. So…what can WE do? We can take 15 minutes (schedule it if you can’t do it right now) to have your opinion heard. The Australian Minister of Indigenous Australians, Malarndirri McCarthy, can be contacted via email: [email protected]. Just a short, to the point email and you have contributed to change. Ask for our Federal Government to address this country-wide issue of child law-breaking in a way that supports these children to change for the better, to acknowledge their human rights as children of Australia as set out in the UN Human Rights Council, to support their families to improve their wellbeing and connections, to reunite the children with their communities, but most of all, to show these children that they matter and that we care. Otherwise, another stolen generation is on OUR hands.
Segregation is being relived today by the forced removal/imprisonment of our children. Forced removal of First Nations into the non-Indigenous populations now at the age of 10 years old. The goal is cultural genocide & the future extinction of First Nations people. Colonial corporate greed is alive and well…The Stolen generations of our past is still being practiced today. Taking our land and our resources and pretending that we were never here! Trauma inflicted here ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This image will always give me chills. What about you? It’s what we call an iconic image. An iconic image often has global or political implications. They affect our emotions because we immediately recognize something powerful or historic in the image. Think of pictures like those marking a day in history, worldwide events, or famous people. Iconic photos don’t have to be of recognizable subjects, though. There are iconic wedding photos, event shots, and even family portraits. What makes it iconic is that it evokes powerful feelings from its intended audience. Photographers are always hoping to capture something iconic. We keep our heads on a swivel so that we are constantly aware of our surroundings, the people and other subjects, the mood, the lighting, and all the other elements that contribute to our photos. We are constantly calculating and watching for everything to align perfectly in our lens. This is generally called “composition.” The way we compose a photo has to become instinctive for a photographer. We can only learn to do it through time and experience, and of course, a lot of trial and error. We notice where things will be in the frame. We can tell the difference between two nearly identical facial expressions. We see how a background will impact the foreground. And we have an eye on more details at once than anyone can imagine. When we nail it, it’s amazing. You can tell you’re looking at an iconic photo if you just can’t pull your eyes away from it, or if you feel an emotional reaction to it. Every once in a while, this type of photo happens spontaneously. But most of the time, it happens because a hard-working photographer applied their years of experience to make it work. What’s your most iconic photo?
Today, we remember the tragic events that happened on 9/11. We pause to honor all the victims, their families, and all those who serve and have sacrificed in the line of duty. ❤️ #NeverForget

Something really simple No one pick a convenient time to have their legs broke. As no one pick a convenient time to be victim of a genocide. It is entirely inconvenient for everyone. What is left is what will you do about this. We already know what the people celebrating 🎉 genocide are doing What will the rest of the people do. Watch? Turn the other cheek? When it is your turn to bury your family from persecution, will you ask for help from others? Will you cry out for humanity to come to your aide and rescue?

Today, on this International Day of Nonviolence, we reflect on the hope of a world free from violence. Yet, this past year has been marked by profound suffering, especially in #Gaza, where families have endured unimaginable devastation. Furthermore, the recent ground invasion of #Lebanon, along with a looming escalation, has made the situation even more dire, pushing us further away from the peace we all desperately need. Families are being uprooted, displaced, and left to live in constant fear for their future. With each day that violence continues, the hope for a better tomorrow slips further away. On this day, we call on everyone to remember that peace is not an abstract idea. It is a real possibility, but it must begin now—with each of us, and with an immediate ceasefire. Only then can we start to heal and work towards a future rooted in dignity and compassion for all.

The disgusting disconnect between this insanity and its horrific consequences pains us all. We struggle to believe that after so much horror inflicted on the Jewish people in history, that their own government made up of distorted criminals has committed the very act, so many have fought to reconcile. We all know the answer, we have the ability to respond, with protection, food, water, health and care, yet.. we have others that deny the reality for so many children and innocent. Some out of some misguided illusion of self interest or self defence against the undefended. Others out of an insane believe that they are worth more than others. The horror of history repeating itself is only made worse by our failure to prevent its obvious path to this madness. Look for yourself, look into the eyes of our worst nightmare, we have been here before, the deliberate starvation of the inmates, but now in the world largest concentration camp, ever. The murder of those seeking aid is beyond any doubt an act of brutal insanity, blocking aid is not only a crime, it’s a true reflection of our failure to protect ourselves from the insane. How long will we allow the insane to decide the future of the innocent. Where’s our courage, as shown by those who truly bear this horror. What will it take to intervene effectively, when is enough, enough. We must fight like we have never fought before, for every second will cost the innocent. Our humanity will win, but at what cost now. #notinmyname #endthismadnessnow #evolutionoverrevolution

So, I came across this heartbreaking video showing the skeletal remains of baby birds that perished while waiting for their mother to return and feed them. Tragically, their mother never came back because she was killed. This poignant image reminds me of the countless victims of conflict and war around the globe and how the impact can devastate entire future generations. When a person is affected by conflict, the repercussions extend far beyond the individual. Families and communities suffer life-threatening and irreversible adverse effects. The loss of a single parent, like the mother bird, can mean the loss of hope and survival for those who depend on them. This stark reminder underscores the urgent need to end wars and embrace peace. By advocating for peace, we ensure that victims of conflict, like these baby birds, have their loved ones return to them. It is through peace that generations can thrive, children can grow, and societies can flourish. Let us work together to create a world where every parent comes home to their children, where the future is not marred by the shadows of violence but illuminated by the light of hope and peace. #PeaceBuilding #EndWar #SocialJustice #FutureGenerations #GlobalPeace

No one wants to talk about the what ifs … I died, he died, she died. We don’t want to think about it in case it happens. But every day hundreds of South African families experience a death. And being prepared for something that will definitely happen doesn’t mean you are inviting it to happen today. That’s why our latest article explains the steps in winding up an estate. So you and those your business supports can understand and make good plans. And live your best life without worrying. https://lnkd.in/dGRiZh78 #SmartAboutMoney #financialeducation #estates #estateplanning #wills #moneymanagement
