Luckily, at 67, the doctors at the VA say I am going to live forever, so...
Such an empowering reminder, Autumn Bailey-Ford. I've found that oftentimes if a person takes their foot off the gas because someone else either doesn't let them in the club, doesn't fulfill the carrots they dangled, or plain out says one thing and does another, they may have personally reached a slump in their own vision and dreams. And that doesn't mean you have to conform to their actions. March on and reach forward with your passions and talents. Consider, too, that youth can be on your side: Sara Blakely founded Spanx at 27 and Oprah Winfrey began priming her career in her late teens.
I think it was Ann Landers who answered a query from a writee, I am 45 yo, always wanted to be a ___ , but it will take 10 years and I feel like I'm too old. Her response: How old will you be in 10 years, except you are now employed in your dream job of ___ ! (Basically GO FOR IT!)

1wUnfortunately we live in society that tries to convice everyone that if you do not have the Fortune 500 company, 1Mil+ followers, all the right investments since 18, marriage, kids, the house with 3 car garage, and the dog by 29, and retired by 40 that you are failing at life. This could not be furtherest from the truth, and it will be freeing when so many others learn this: Let your life be your own. Live, learn, and enjoy the process. You will get to each goal when you are supposed to and how you are supposed. Life is not over at 40. For some it’s just beginning.
