Ludwig Ahgren recently hosted his first Streamer Games event in Southern California, and it seems like creators are getting bigger and better with events. Here’s what you need to know (thanks Iarfhlaith Dempsey, Hannah Doyle, and Nathan Graber-Lipperman for the insights): 🔸 High production value led to an entertainment broadcast - over 120 staff members helped produce the events in the Streamer Games, which included volleyball, gymnastics, tablecloth pull, the 99 meter dash, and more. 🔹 The event, sponsored by Red Bull, included the livestream, two screens on field showing instant replays, a broadcast desk with analysts, a Red Bull creator tent, and fan zone selling merch. 🔸 Over 175,000 people watched the Streamer Games at its peak, thanks to streaming from Ludwig and creators that participated in the event. 🔹 Other creators like Michelle Khare and Disguised Toast mentioned how this event raises the bar for creator programming, even if the event operated at a loss financially. While this isn’t Ludwig’s most popular event by viewership, it certainly sees him increasing the effort and scale of the events he is putting on. It also seems like many other creators are looking for ways to go beyond their normal content and engage audiences in person + with cool events like these. Who is another creator that stands out in this sense? Follow #MoreMark for #Business content in #Gaming, #Esports, and #Creators!

A few years ago, we embarked on a mission to reimagine basketball competition. Our goal was to create a lifelong basketball experience, much like golf, allowing players to enjoy the game and compete for a lifetime. We wanted to keep the passion for playing alive, not just spectating. The result: a game centered around shooting, capturing the thrill of a real basketball game including the excitement and drama around a real crowd and announcer generated through AI. This shooting game format allows players to enjoy the game without the typical hurdles of needing to be in good aerobic shape, endure physical contact, and play defense. Our game is played locally and virtually across the Shoot 360 network. It's structured in four quarters, with teams of three players and dynamic scoring involving 2, 3, and 5 pointers, adding elements of skill and strategy. We use our scoreboards above the baskets to track real time individual and team scoring and stats. It's all summarized in our App with all the game schedules, stats, game results, and leaderboards. The game can be played in leagues, tournaments, and open runs, offering a range of competitive formats just like the traditional game. Above all, the game is simply fun to play, focusing on the thrilling aspect of shooting. We're focused on getting basketball enthusiasts off the sidelines and back into the game, engaging millions of people in the U.S. and worldwide. With over 175 million enthusiasts in the U.S. and 2.5 billion globally, the potential is enormous and incredibly exciting! I've never been prouder of our team, and after countless hours of development and testing, we launched Shoot 360 Leagues a few weeks ago, starting with a beta across the U.S. and into Canada, involving 300 players in an international league with over 100 teams all playing locally and virtually across our facilities in real time! The feedback was phenomenal, and we're excited to see hundreds and then thousands of teams playing Shoot 360 Leagues soon. Here's a link to see the fun in action: https://lnkd.in/gUbheF-v

🚨 In the last month 75.3% of purchasers viewed their tickets in their Fanbase wallet! As a team of sports fans, we know how stressful it can be to search emails for tickets when approaching the turnstiles. That’s why we always look at stats like this to understand fan behaviour and how we can make the matchday experience as easy as possible while giving the most value to fans. More on that coming soon 👀 #Sportstech | #Sportsbiz | #Fanengagement

We just pushed a bunch of UI updates as well as a brand new onboarding flow for Propellor Sports Company and it would mean a lot if you took a few minutes to check it out and share with your friends. There’s also a Master’s giveaway at the bottom of this ⛳ 🏌♂️ It’s been a bit since I gave a rundown on what Propellor is and why we’re building it and now seems like a good time to refresh everyone. Imo, the modern version of DFS has lost the social aspects that originally made fantasy sports great. Competing against pools of strangers or solo against the house can be fun in its own way, but there is nothing better than when you and your buddies are all locked in together. Everything is better with your friends so why should playing fantasy sports be any different? We are set on bringing friend groups back into full focus. You spend hours every day in your group chats talking about sports in general, picks for the day, daily life, and whatever else then you break off to go your separate ways to make your picks, but you shouldn’t have to. You should be able to think as a team, play as a team, and win (or lose) as a team. These are all the reasons why we've built Propellor. It’s important to us to bring back a lost joy in a new, innovative way. So, how are we actually doing this? 1) Invite your friends to join your team - Teams can have up to seven members and you can create as many teams as you want - A group text chat is created for every team on Propellor Use this chat as your new fantasy sports home base 2) Create tickets for your team - Anyone on a team can create a ticket and teams can create as many as they want 3) Add a pick to your teams ticket - Each team member makes one pick, per ticket 4) Sweat your picks with your team! Easy enough, right? The Propellor Beta is completely free to play and we have markets for Baseball, Golf, Basketball, and Hockey running every single day and with it being Master’s Week we wanted to do a special giveaway. All you need to do to be entered into the giveaway is make a single golf pick on a ticket during any of the 4 tournament rounds during the 2024 Master’s Tournament. Your pick does not need to win for it to count. The day after the tournament ends we will choose two winners to receive a $500 Golf Galaxy gift card and those two winners can then choose a friend (does not need to be an active Propellor user) to give an additional $100 Golf Galaxy gift card. I’m genuinely thrilled to wake up every single day and work on Propellor with the team we have. Nick, Malinda Mosholder, Nick Jones, Collin Duddy, and Stephanie Dufresne are amazing and we’re lucky to be supported by Adam Phillips, Justin Taylor, Matt Hunter, Cameron Duddy, Carey Watkins, Eric Parkila and the rest of our advisors. Thanks for playing, thanks for sharing, and good luck! https://lnkd.in/g4qZT8cu
