This #OpenAccess study on #PhotonCountingCT is now in print and available for free: https://lnkd.in/eZ5MCQBj 👉Photon Counting CT offers new possibilities for CT in #postoperative patients, by combining the increased spatial resolution with #TinPrefiltration and #VirtualMonoenergeticImaging. This allows to significantly improve the visualization of bone healing next to metal implants. #Citation: Marth AA, et al. Invest Radiol. 2024;59(8):545-553. #Figure: Metal artifacts (asterisks) that are visible next to metal screws in standard polychromatic images are significantly reduced in images with tin prefiltration and virtual monoenergetic imaging at 120 keV for patients undergoing photon counting CT. Thanks to this technique the osseous bridging in the subtalar joint can be better visualized in this patient with arthrodesis. it’s Time to test SonoNurse Exoskeleton: The Power of Leveraging Pre-existing humain_brain Neural Connections Developing expertise in tasks requiring hand-eye coordination can vary significantly depending on the complexity and frequency of practice. For instance, simple activities like juggling or typing might take a few weeks to months. Specialized professions such as hairdressing or surgery can require years of training and practice. Complex arts or sports, like playing the piano or painting, may take 5 to 10 years or more to master. Medical procedures, such as ultrasound-guided needles , also need a considerable amount of practice to achieve proficiency. We are excited to announce that we will be conducting tests to compare the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided procedures with classical freehand technique versus using the Sononurse exoskeleton, in both : clinical settings and virtual reality. A special thanks to our collaborating researchers at ETS, Concordia, Sainte-Justine Hospital and Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital . With its powerful magnetic fields, it unveils intricate details of our internal anatomy without a hint of #radiation, making it a go-to choice, especially for delicate #brain examinations, #spine and #joints. But here's the kicker – it's not always the knight in shining armor! In the fast-paced realm of emergency medicine, where every moment counts, #ultrasound and #CTscans steal the show. These methods swiftly detect internal injuries or rule critical conditions, offering rapid insights compared to the time-consuming nature of #MRI scans. So, next time you hear someone singing praises solely for MRIs, remember, it's not always about being the best – it's about being the best fit for the task at hand.
