Here is a new case by Dr. James C. Wittig, MD and Morristown Medical Center | Atlantic Health System. LEFT KNEE SWELLING IN 15M HPI: This is a 15-year-old boy with pain and swelling in his left knee area for three weeks. He has had night pain in his hip area for the last two months that were dismissed as growing pains. Over the last three weeks, the patient’s pain became localized to the knee and was associated with swelling. There have been no fevers, night sweats, or weight loss. PMH: There is no pertinent past medical or surgical history. PE: There is tenderness to palpation over the left proximal tibia with associated swelling. Distally, neurovascular intact.
