Great talk by Hélène Soyeurt at the #ICARconference2024 on mid infrared-based predictive models. She is doing a fantastic job leading the International Dairy Federation /ICAR-International Committee for Animal Recording joint project, ExtraMIR, together with the outstanding experts leading the related work packages: (1) Reference by Josée Bordeleau , (2) Modelling by Steve Holroyd , (3) Quality Assurance by Frédéric Dehareng , and (4) Communication by Michael Whittaker. Thanks to them, and all the IDF/ICAR experts involved in the project for their incredible work in advancing this important initiative! Mid-infrared spectra have been used to analyze milk-related traits such as fatty acids, but the variety of existing equations makes trait comparison challenging. ExtraMIR aims to offer a unified platform for comparison, enhancing the ability to predict and understand these traits. Find more information about ExtraMIR here https://lnkd.in/dcq8w8Me
