Looking at the broadcasting sector, it remains profitable - especially streaming platforms. Conventional TV (CTV, Global, CITY, CBC/SRC) is now a money loser. Will their corporate owners use their growing streaming profits to ease the impact on their employees still creating conventional TV? Or continue insisting outdated financial silos must pay their own way as consumer habits shift with technology?
