The Space Between Us – And Our Designs! Design isn't just about what you add—it's also about what you leave out. Space, whether in graphics, interiors, or life, carries power. It's the pause between notes that makes music, the margin that brings balance to a page, and the breathing room in a conversation that deepens connection. In our day-to-day, we navigate spaces constantly: -The cozy coffee shop corner where ideas flow over a cappuccino. -The gap in a crowded room that sparks a smile and a “hello.” -The space to pause, refresh, and spark innovation amidst life's chaos. As designers, we create spaces not just to look good, but to feel good. Whether it's the negative space in a logo or the layout of a living room, thoughtful design connects people to their environment—and to each other. So here's to embracing space in all its forms: the spaces we craft, the ones we share, and the ones we cherish for ourselves. How does space play a role in your work or daily life? Here’s a confession. I was clueless about designing multifunctional spaces—until I wasn’t. Everyone has to start somewhere, right? Here’s how consistent practice turned my early mistakes into well-thought-out spaces that serve both form and function. ✅ When I started working on open-plan designs, I struggled to create a sense of flow—everything felt disconnected and random. It was like trying to force pieces into a puzzle that didn’t fit. But every project taught me something new. Over time, figuring out how to blend areas without losing their identity became second nature. I learned how to use furniture, lighting, and partitions to connect spaces seamlessly. They say practice makes perfect, and it’s true. With every new design, my ability to balance practicality and style improved, transforming blank rooms into cohesive environments. ✅ Early feedback stung, but it was essential. At first, it felt like criticism of my creativity. But I learned to listen, reflect, and adapt. Feedback became my blueprint for growth. It wasn’t about getting it perfect for everyone—it was about refining my own style. ✅ Initially, I tried to tick all the boxes, but eventually, I found my sweet spot. For me, it was about blending functionality with subtle elegance, rather than only chasing trends. Focusing on what resonated with me made my designs more intentional and unique. ✅ Just like in any craft, consistent effort builds expertise and reach over time. What started as trial and error grew into a portfolio that speaks to clients’ needs while staying true to my design philosophy. No one starts as a master. So, don’t be afraid to dive into that design, sketch that layout, or plan that dream space! #SpacePlanning #InteriorEvolution #SmartLiving #ModernInteriors #DesignJourney

Designers thrive on creativity and innovation, and like everyone else, we're influenced by emerging cultural trends. These trends shape how we organise spaces, select materials, and add those finishing touches. Pop culture, especially movies, TV shows, and music icons, plays a huge role in forming these cultural trends. By way of a bit of fun, how many of the current trends and influences in commercial interior designs listed below could you arguably align with influences from the ever-popular Bridgerton TV series? 🛋️ Resimmercial Furnishings 🌈 Warmer Color Schemes 🌿 Natural Elements & Geometric Shapes 📱 Seamless Technology Integration 🖼 Mixed Materials & Finishes ♻️ Sustainable Design 🏠 Homey Accessories 🔇 Sound Softening 🌳 Outdoor Spaces 🌞 Natural Lighting Comment below with your thoughts! Cracking the client brief: How we blend disciplines for standout design 💡 Ever wondered how to truly unlock the potential of a space? At Celpanova, we go beyond the surface of a client brief. We dig deep – understanding not just the needs, but the emotions a space should evoke. That's where our multi-disciplinary approach shines. Think of it like having a toolbox overflowing with specialist tools. Our experience across different projects and industries lets us pull the perfect solution for each challenge and opportunity. An architect's eye for flow might inform a furniture layout, while knowledge from hospitality design can create a welcoming workspace. It's this cross-pollination of ideas that elevates design from good to transformative. The result? Spaces that don't just look great, they resonate with the people who use them. #InteriorDesign #InteriorWorkspace #WorkplaceDesign #Designer

Why do most spaces look the same these days? Because everyone’s playing it safe. Neutral tones, cookie-cutter layouts, and Pinterest clones have taken over. But truly innovative spaces? They make you stop, stare, and think, “Wow, I didn’t know a room could feel like this!” The kind of spaces that: ✨ Blur the line between form and function. ✨ Transform the ordinary into extraordinary. ✨ Reflect personality, not just trends. Take, for example: 1️⃣ A co-working space that doubles as a gallery, inspiring creativity at every desk. 2️⃣ A compact studio apartment with hidden storage so smart it feels like a puzzle you want to solve. 3️⃣ A weekend home where the walls breathe—yes, literally—through sustainable, climate-responsive materials. What sets these spaces apart? It’s not just design; it’s intent. They solve problems. They spark joy. They push boundaries. As an interior designer, these are the kinds of spaces I live to create. Because good design doesn’t just fill a room—it changes how you live in it. So, here’s my take: Let’s stop settling for “safe.” Let’s design spaces that dare to be different. Tell me: Would you rather have a home that’s “on-trend” or one that’s one-of-a-kind? Drop your thoughts below 👇 #InteriorDesign #InnovativeSpaces #DesignThatInspires

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 Design isn’t just about how something looks—it’s about how it makes you feel. Take this industrial chic penthouse, for example. The exposed brick, steel beams, and wide windows aren’t just structural elements. They work together to tell a story, to create an atmosphere that feels both bold and inviting. The best designs do more than meet functional needs—they create 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. This space balances the raw, industrial feel with warmth and comfort, turning it into a place where people want to spend time. It’s not just a room; it’s a place that sparks inspiration and connection. Whether you’re designing a physical space or a digital product, the goal should always be to go beyond solving problems. Aim to create something that resonates with people emotionally, something that leaves a lasting impression. 🔍 What kind of story is your design telling? Designing spaces is just about making them look good. That’s what a lot of people think. But let me ask you this—does beauty alone make a space functional? Here’s what I’ve realized. At Entracte, we believe that exceptional design is all about blending aesthetics with practicality. When I started in this field, I thought a stunning room was all it took. But I quickly learned that true design goes deeper. ✅ Space planning is essential. It’s not just about filling a room with pretty things; it’s about optimizing layout for efficient flow and usage. ✅ Ergonomics matters too. Comfort isn’t an afterthought; it’s a necessity for daily living. ✅ Then there are storage solutions. They have to balance beauty with practical organization—clutter isn’t stylish, no matter how nice the decor is. ✅ And lighting design? It’s crucial for creating the right ambiance while ensuring functionality for tasks. Stepping away from the idea that design is only about looks has been a game changer for me. What functional design elements do you find most impactful in your living or working spaces? I’d love to hear your thoughts! #FunctionalDesign #InteriorStyling #SmartInteriors #DesignEssentials #InteriorConcepts

Why Design That Makes a Difference is the Only Design That Matters. At SCENE, our approach to design goes beyond the aesthetic—our goal is to create spaces that are functional and purpose-driven. Whether it's a co-working space or a restaurant, we believe that design has the power to bring about positive change in people’s lives. In many design projects, there's often a temptation to add as many features as possible, thinking it will enhance the space. But more isn't always better. Overloading a space can quickly make it feel cluttered and chaotic. By stripping back and focusing on a few key, impactful elements, a space can transform into something far more calming, intentional and inviting. Simplicity allows the design to breathe, creating a more thoughtful and balanced environment. #DesignWithPurpose Image: A CGI of our recently designed co-working space, carefully crafted with health and well-being at its core.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe once said, "Less is more," and this quote perfectly captures what's at the heart of modern design trends. Minimalism is no longer just a trend; it's a response to our collective craving for clarity and a quieter lifestyle. By choosing minimalism, designers make spaces that do more with less, offering us a break from the chaos and a chance to connect with our environment on a deeper level. Today, we're seeing more and more spaces that embrace minimalism, focusing on open areas, straightforward designs, and the basics done beautifully. It's not just about looking clean and simple; it's about creating a calm, peaceful environment. Using natural light, soft colors, and basic materials like concrete, glass, and wood, these designs invite tranquility and a sense of ease into our busy lives. The shift towards simpler design is not just about aesthetics; it's about creating a space that promotes well-being. These designs offer a chance to disconnect from the constant noise of modern life and reconnect with the world around us. As we continue to explore and embrace these designs, it's clear that the essence of minimalism—focusing on what truly matters, stripping away the excess—is here to stay, guiding us toward more thoughtful and sustainable ways of living. What do you think about the minimalist trend in design? Have you embraced it in your own life or work?
