🚀 I just got introduced to Nabeel Alamgir🦄 (CEO of Lunchbox) 🚀 I had the privilege of meeting Nabeel Alamgir, the CEO of Lunchbox. Nabeel's journey is nothing short of inspirational. He shared that he faced rejection from over 72 investors before the 73rd finally said yes. His story is a testament to resilience and the importance of authenticity. Whether pitching to investors or applying for a job, Nabeel emphasized the necessity of being yourself. Authenticity ensures that the relationships you build, whether with investors or employers, are based on genuine trust and mutual respect. Huge shout out to the Headstarter AI team, Faizan Ahmed & Yasin Ehsan 🚀, for making this happen! Additionally, I attended an insightful panel yesterday as part of the Headstarter AI fellowship, featuring: Dustin Beadle (ex-director AMD) Logan Havern (CEO of Datalogz) Nabeel Alamgir🦄 (CEO of Lunchbox) Shariar Kabir (CEO of Ruby and ex-Salesforce) Miguel Acero (CTO of Ruby and ex-Google) Here are some key takeaways: Dustin Beadle emphasized the importance of soft skills alongside technical expertise. Effective communication and curiosity are crucial for staying ahead in the industry. Logan Havern's story is one of perseverance. Despite initial setbacks, he relentlessly pursued his startup dream, ultimately raising over $12M.His journey underscores the value of resilience. Shariar Kabir and Miguel Acero encouraged embracing failure gracefully. Their journey with Ruby involved numerous setbacks, but persistence led them to success. Miguel’s transition from medicine to tech particularly resonated with me. Nabeel Alamgir shared candid advice on career and entrepreneurship: "Don't oversell yourself, be honest." "Don't try to work in a company/industry that doesn't want you. Look for companies that respect you." "Ask employers what they respect. This shows you're engaged and helps you understand if they support work-life balance." "For startup ideas, pay attention to your daily routine. Innovations often arise from solving everyday problems." Thank you, Yasin Ehsan 🚀 and Faizan Ahmed, for organizing this enriching panel. And a big thank you to all the speakers for their invaluable insights! Stay tuned for an update on my first hackathon, starting tonight! #Networking #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #TechCommunity #HeadstarterAI #CareerAdvice
