EPF Account Restructuring ❗️Old Account Structure - Account 1 & Account 2 ❗️New Account Structure (Effective May 11, 2024) - Akaun Persaraan, Akaun Sejahtera, Akaun Fleksibel ❗️Purpose - Akaun Persaraan: Accumulate savings for retirement income - Akaun Sejahtera: Address life cycle needs for wellbeing in retirement - Akaun Fleksibel: Provide flexibility for short-term financial needs ❗️Contribution Allocation (After May 11, 2024) - 75% to Akaun Persaraan - 15% to Akaun Sejahtera - 10% to Akaun Fleksibel ❗️Initial Amount Transfer to Akaun Fleksibel (Optional by Aug 31, 2024) - Members can choose to transfer part of their Akaun Sejahtera balance. - Transfer method depends on balance: * Below RM1,000: All transferred to Akaun Fleksibel. * RM1,000 to RM2,999: RM1,000 transferred to Akaun Fleksibel. * RM3,000 and above: Distributed as 10/30 to Akaun Fleksibel, 5/30 to Akaun Persaraan, 15/30 remains in Akaun Sejahtera. ❗️Akaun Fleksibel Withdrawal Anytime, for any purpose (minimum RM50) ❗️Age 55 and Above - Savings in all 3 accounts merged into Akaun 55. <br> - New contributions go to Akaun Emas. ❗️More Information - Visit EPF branches, website (https://www.kwsp.gov.my/), or KWSP i-Akaun app.
