Just finished an amazing webinar by Art of Business Analysis on whether a BA and QA can create an app from scratch without coding. Hanna Kaplun tested a pretty complex game with a lot of business logic using different AI tools. Her favorite turned out to be Claude – it's the best at writing code. ChatGPT didn’t do as well with coding but was great at working with texts (tooltips, instructions, etc.) The fun part was that Hanna didn’t share her prompts so that we could try ourselves to re-produce her experiment. So, I did it and it’s been a really exciting (but tricky) process. For example, sometimes Claude gave me unpredictable answers because it forgot previous prompts. After half an hour, I reached the free trial limit, so I’ll pick up tomorrow, but I’m making progress! What I loved most was how clearly Claude explains each step to a non-programmer. Honestly, if I wanted to learn coding, AI would be an amazing tool for me as a beginner. Just wrapped up the 2024 Targeting Quality conference organized by KWSQA in Canada! The sessions were insightful, and it was great connecting with many passionate QA professionals. From Lee Barnes' presentation on becoming a high-value test automation engineer to Martijn Goossens' deep dive into mastering performance testing, each session provided a wealth of knowledge.
