Arsenal F.C’s Post

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 We are proud to launch our first Economic and Social Impact Report, exploring the value we brought to Islington and beyond during the 2022/23 season.   Creating a sense of belonging and inspiring progress in our community has been central to who we are since we were established in 1886. This report shows the value we bring and shines a light on the inspiring stories of people driving change in our communities.   Key findings from the report include:   ➡ We delivered £616 million in economic value (GVA) to the UK economy, with £425 million contributed in our home borough of Islington ➡ We helped generate £228 million in UK tax revenue  ➡More than 4,400 jobs in the UK and 1,600 local jobs in Islington were supported ➡14,000 people participated in AITC initiatives, which delivered over 140,000 hours of community-based activity ➡ We attracted 1.6 million supporters to Emirates Stadium and more than 9,500 supporters to Meadow Park, resulting in positive economic effects on local businesses and the surrounding community    Commenting on the report’s findings, our Managing Director, Richard Garlick, said: “𝘈𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺. 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 1886. Should also recognise the work done through No More Red which has enabled us to provide a music studio in Islington and music mentorship programme for local young people. Arsenal In the Community & No More Red put us in touch with Arsenal fans locally and across the globe who made this happen.

I was delighted to be invited to the launch of this report and it was inspiring to listen to two of the young people that have benefitted from, and contributed to, Arsenal's work locally. A few year's ago my daughter spent a year as an intern with Arsenal and got to work coaching school children in London and overseas in Africa and South America. It helped her in her decision to become a primary school teacher in South London.

It’s incredible to see how the club makes such a meaningful impact both on and off the pitch. While the football we play continues to inspire millions around the world, it’s just as rewarding to see the positive difference we’re making in the community by supporting local jobs, driving the economy, and bringing people together through initiatives that truly matter. This is what makes Arsenal special. It’s not just about the game; it’s about being part of something much bigger. A club that stays true to its values and leads by example both in football and in the community is one we can all stand behind. Well done, Arsenal F.C! 🔴⚪ #COYG
