#Alberta’s labour market is continuing to grow on the heels of a strong start in the first quarter of 2024. In April, employment rose to 2,537,500, an increase of 10,600 since March and up 92,100 when compared to the same time last year. In fact, 6,100 of those jobs in April were in Alberta’s private sector. Full time jobs also showed strong year-over-year growth with 2,067,700 full time jobs in April – when compared to the same month last year, this represented a jump of 63,800 new jobs and a 3.2 per cent increase.
