𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋 Series (Part 4) “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run [their very best to win], but only one receives the prize? Run [your race] in such a way that you may seize the prize and make it yours! Now every athlete who [goes into training and] competes in the games is disciplined exercises self-control in all things. They do it to win a crown that withers, but we [do it to receive] an imperishable [crown that cannot wither]. Therefore I do not run without a definite goal; I do not flail around like one beating the air [just shadow boxing]. But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service].” 1 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 9:24-27 𝘼𝙈𝙋 “𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗜𝗡’𝗧 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥” 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 Imagine a race. Everyone runs, but only one wins. The Apostle Paul uses this analogy in 1 Corinthians 9 to remind us: Leadership is about finishing well. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀. We compete not for fading rewards, but for an eternal crown. Paul says, "I don't run without a definite goal" (v. 26). 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆? Are you "eating" the right things spiritually? Do your habits and choices empower you to win? 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁. It's not about "sloppy living" (v. 26 MSG). It's about dedication and focus, just like a marathoner training to win. 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱? 𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗨𝗣! Yogi Berra famously said, "It ain't over till it's over" (quoted). There's always time for a turnaround. The gold medal, the symbol of lasting leadership impact, is still within reach. 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: True leadership legacy isn't about size or numbers. It's about the lives you influence through your actions and choices. How will your daily choices shape the next generation? . ღ(¯`◕‿◕´¯)ღ . #ToGodBeAllTheHighestGlory #TheWordOfGodIsAliveAndPowerful #Logos #rhemafortoday #JesusIsLord #PowerOfTheHolySpirit #GodsKingdomComesNearThroughYou #PurposeDrivenLife #MissionDrivenLife #ServantLeader #LevelUpYourLife #EveryoneMattersToGod #ActivateWellness #faith #hope #love #ArnoldOLOGY . With medals or without medals, I consider sport as a way of life, as well as inspiring for both personal and professional life. As an amateur athlete, myself, I read and listened a lot on incredible athletic achievements. I found this article very interesting, and would like to share with you some key take aways: - Determination & consistency drive long term success (in other words, discipline, focus, perseverance...) - Process is key, and you must find enjoyment and motivation along the way... - Be bold, but not too bold - you do not want to break the bar (constant but simple innovation is a great approach) - The team, and the teamwork is key... even in running... the support system, the commitment as a team, the common vision, are important - Leadership position is everywhere, event as a running or triathlon champion #leadership #empowerment #mindset #Abetterway #Abetterafrica What are your thoughts on those 5 statements? Training for and completing an Ironman triathlon isn’t just about physical endurance—it’s a testament to your mental strength, discipline, and resilience. As an Ironman triathlete, you learn to push beyond limits and stay focused under pressure, maintaining an unwavering dedication to achieving your goals. As an Ironman myself, I know firsthand that these qualities translate directly into stronger leadership skills. The ability to successfully overcome complex challenges while keeping a clear vision is what makes us triathletes such exceptional leaders. Whether it’s in the boardroom or out on the race course, the perseverance required to be an Ironman sets you apart as a leader who can tackle any obstacle. 🦾 #IronmanTriathlete #Leadership #TransformationalLeadership #EnduranceTraining
