⏲️Hitting Reset In 4 Easy Steps💥 Last month I did a 30-day challenge inspired by Dr. Daniel G. Amen, M.D.’s tips on creating habits that positively stimulate your brain. I chose to focus on four key areas: 💪🏽 Physical Fitness -Workout at least 4X per week at 6:15am. Get at least 30min of fresh air per day (7K steps). 🧠 Mental Health -I bought a gratitude journal and wrote 3 things I’m grateful for every morning before starting my day. 🫱🏻🫲🏾 Interpersonal Relationships -I attended salsa lessons and improv/public speaking courses weekly without knowing anyone in either class. 🛑 Habit Breaking -I cut my phone screen time in half by lowering the brightness to grayscale and removing notifications and unnecessary apps. I also cut out alcohol for the month (yes, including on Thanksgiving)! When making small strides in each of these areas daily, the compound effect became MASSIVE! From improved sleep and sharper focus, to building new relationships and having an overall positive disposition. You don’t have to wait until Jan 2025 to begin new goals.
