Saudi Crown Prince approves design of world’s tallest sports tower in Riyadh

What if #8 If we go back a little bit, we see that QTR has preferred livery designs close to its own colors in recent years. Although A7-BEK is not a very good example, A7-BEL is a slightly better example. I guess I don't really need to mention A7-BFG in this case. A7-BAC can be considered as one of the most classic examples of Retro Livery. My personal opinion is that Qatar Airways doesn't prefer to touch the tail designs much. In fact, the fact that the designs don't go all the way to the APU part may be a factor in this, but the tail design probably changes in the A7-BAC design, reinforcing the concept of Retro Livery. A7-BEB is the livery that comes closest to this concept, but the tail is still used in the regular Qatar Airways corporate design. I personally thought that combining all of these concepts in a special livery didn't create such a bad image. When we come to our topic; Qatar Airways recently became the Official Airline Partner of the UEFA Champions League. The important thing is, why not make a special livery for this partnership? I don't know if there is such a project at the moment, but I personally didn't want to skip that chance without doing a ''what if''. It's not known if it can become a reality, however the blue of the UEFA Champions League, a transition towards the corporate colors of Qatar Airways and a magnificent CL trophy with dynamic/abstract designs. #FIFA's World Cup 2034 is taking place in #SaudiArabia. The country's only bid is as good as confirmed despite the massive backlash towards FIFA, their host selection process, and the designated host. While recent news has either focused on the expected #design masterpieces (Designboom's link in the first comment) or the feared "corporate manslaughter" (The Guardian's link in the first comment), I want us to consider the #sustainability impact of the world biggest sporting event. Saudi Arabia will host the tournament in 15 new stadiums, of which only 4 already exist. 11 stadiums will be built or completed in less than 10 years. 4 stadiums have to be upgraded in less than 10 years. Construction will be booming in the US for two cities with the United States hosting two Olympic games in the next decade - LA 2028 & Salt Lake 2034. For an estimation of costs and material requirements, Paris 2024 is our best example of what we can expect here. World sporting events are becoming more common in the USA. F-1 racing and the World Cup were two major sports that captivated the world but we mostly stayed out of. Now major US cities are vying to build new stadiums, new raceways, and host new teams. New York and New Jersey are definitely thinking of the future of sport. And with New Jersey set to host the World Cup final in 2026, expect to see a lot more soccer fever and arena construction in the US.
