Indian Army soldiers saved a Himalayan Brown Bear cub stuck in a tin container in an unidentified, snow-covered area in a heartwarming act of kindness. The cub—later named Bahadur—was discovered with its head lodged in a metal container, distraught and defenceless. Despite the problematic high-altitude circumstances, the soldiers' cautious and sympathetic attitude is demonstrated in a widely shared video of the rescue effort. To ensure the cub was safe, they tried to remove the can by hand before turning to tools. With careful work, they were able to free Bahadur. The soldiers then gave the cub food to aid in its recuperation before it was able to return to the wild safely. On the other is a paramilitary group called the Rapid Support Forces, or RSF. Caught in the middle are the common people, many of whom are starving. About 18 million Sudanese people are facing acute food insecurity. 5 million are on the brink of starvation. Reports say some people have resorted to eating cats. Others have been boiling leaves and drinking the broth. And some are even digging up soil and eating that to survive. Renowned Pakistani mountaineer Murad Sadpara has tragically passed away after successfully reaching the summit of Broad Peak. The climber was injured by falling rocks during his descent. His body was recovered by local rescuers and transported to the Japanese base camp. Supported by the Pakistan Army, the rescue team included six local climbers, with additional help from Sadpara’s relatives. Broad Peak, at 8,047 meters, is known as one of the “safer” high-altitude peaks, but the incident highlights the risks of climbing at such elevations. #MuradSadpara #Mountaineering #BroadPeak #ClimbingTragedy

🎬 We Indians Love Our Movies, Our Soldiers… and It’s Time We Start Loving Real Change 🇮🇳 Bollywood has always known what touches our hearts : Emotions, Stories of Heroism, and Tales of Sacrifice. And year after year, for 78 years, we see the same themes come alive on screen— War stories, Missions, Operations… stories that sell ! But there’s a side we don’t often hear about : the real legacies of these braveheart soldiers. The 7 Lakh Veernaris ( Martyr widows ), most from extremly rural villages, whose "real lives" often CONTRAST SHARPLY with what’s seen on Screen. Imagine Diwali without RO water systems, OTG, Geyser or Tiled Bathroom, Wifi, Computer or even a Android Phone - this is reality for many families of our Martyrs !! While the film fraternity earns "triple-digit profits and celebrities gain", our Veernaris strive daily without many basic comforts. This festive season, as the spotlight shines on Glamorous Stories, let’s remember those who "actually live these sacrifices" and build their real legacies. For a change, let’s focus our Diwali wishes and contributions on honoring & supporting Legacies of REAL Heroes, not just reel heroes. ✨ We assure you a surprise .... To know more please DM --------------------------------------------------- #SupportVeernaris #RealHeroesRealStories #ThinkBeyondReel #diwali #diwali2024

Similar situation as we know about the US mission in Somalia. It is a true story of utter grit and courage of the unit martyrs, soldiers and officers in this UN mission who had no back up and were thousands of kilometers away from their motherland fighting for the honour and pride of our tri colour! Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed on July 26 every year in India to commemorate the success of Operation Vijay, which was the Indian Armed Forces' mission to recapture the territories occupied by Pakistani infiltrators in the Kargil-Dras sector in 1999. Here's a brief history: 1. **Background**: In the winter of 1998-1999, elements of the Pakistani Army, along with militants, infiltrated into the Indian territory across the Line of Control (LoC), taking advantage of the vacated Indian Army posts during the harsh winters. They occupied strategic locations in the Kargil-Dras sector of Jammu and Kashmir. 2. **Discovery**: In May 1999, Indian patrol units discovered the infiltration and the establishment of fortified positions by the intruders. This led to the launch of Operation Vijay to flush out the infiltrators and reclaim the occupied territories. 3. **Operation Vijay**: The operation involved significant mobilization of Indian troops and air power. The conflict, lasting from May to July 1999, saw fierce battles in extremely rugged and high-altitude terrain. The Indian Air Force launched Operation Safed Sagar to provide air support to ground troops. 4. **Outcome**: By mid-July 1999, Indian forces successfully pushed back the intruders, recapturing the peaks and restoring the status quo along the LoC. The conflict officially ended on July 26, 1999, with India emerging victorious. 5. **Significance**: The victory came at a high cost, with India losing over 500 soldiers. Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers who fought in the conflict. Memorial services, tributes, and ceremonies are held across the country, especially at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras, Jammu, and Kashmir. #army

A Bailey Bridge is constructed urgently over steep and challenging terrains. It's primarily used today for disaster relief and military purposes. Pre-fabricated parts are quickly transported to the construction site and assembled on location. In India, the first Bailey Bridge built for non-military purposes was in Kerala. When the bridge over the Pamba River at Ranni in Pathanamthitta collapsed on November 8, 1996, a Bailey Bridge was built, which was used for about two years. The first Bailey Bridge constructed by the army in Kerala was at Enathu in Adoor, Pathanamthitta district. This temporary bridge was built in April 2017 over the Kallada River on the MC Road, connecting the Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts, to alleviate travel difficulties after the Enathu bridge collapsed. The first Bailey Bridge in India for civilian use was built over the Pamba River in Ranni, Pathanamthitta district. When the 36-year-old Ranni Bridge over the Pamba River collapsed, the army constructed a temporary Bailey Bridge. For the next two months, light vehicles crossed the river using this bridge. The army constructed the Bailey Bridge in Ranni on November 8, 1996. It is a special steel bridge built at high altitudes. The first military Bailey Bridge in India was built in Kashmir between the Dras and Suru rivers in Ladakh. It measured 30 meters (98 feet) in length and was situated at an elevation of 5,602 meters (18,379 feet) above sea level, constructed by the Indian Army. The British designed such bridges during World War II. The British, Canadian, and American armies primarily use these bridges. The first Bailey Bridge was made in 1942 by British engineer Donald Bailey, hence the name Bailey Bridge. These bridges have many advantages. They do not require special equipment to build. Heavy machinery is not needed for assembly. The prefabricated parts made of wood and steel are lightweight and small, making it easy to transport them by truck. Since the parts are lightweight, they can be assembled by hand without the need for cranes. Despite this, they are very strong and can carry heavy tanks. In civil engineering, these bridges are used worldwide for various purposes. During construction work, they are used to create temporary pathways and bridges for light vehicles.
