On December 11, Nepali Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel began a four-day tour to India to strengthen defence cooperation and expand bilateral ties. This visit follows Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi's recent visit to Nepal. The Indian Army cordially welcomed General Sigdel upon his arrival in Delhi. His agenda includes key meetings with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. General Sigdel will meet with India's defence companies in Pune before travelling to Dehradun to review the passing-out parade at the Indian Military Academy. Before leaving, he will visit Ayodhya's Ram Temple. This tour highlights India and Nepal's historical ties, strengthening trust and defence cooperation.
