Deno 2.0 is amazing right now! The new release of Deno, a runtime for JavaScript just like Node.js and Bun, has arrived with many cool features, such as: - It supports TypeScript *natively*! Bun already did, while Node.js still has experimental support. - The ability to compile as an executable for several OS architectures. - Package manager ecosystem compatibility with npm registries, along with a new open-sourced JavaScript registry called JSR, which supports TypeScript natively. - A more complete standard library, eliminating the need for libraries like Jest, ESLint, Prettier, and Nodemon. All these features are now possible without any third-party packages! Of course, Deno, like Bun, is still maturing for production use, but both runtimes are bringing very welcome competitiveness to the JS market! I explored how Node.js manages both synchronous and asynchronous operations, delving into the internal mechanisms that make this possible.
