Suggestive prompts, to add on to your own query story, passing Facebooks “MOM” test - Perplexity really just does it. Wrapper or not, usability and experience nailed it. Gradually, all my research methods have become rudimentary and is replaced by Perplexity.ai

I want to share the sequence step with you that makes us $1mm+ per year in outbound, fully automated, no human beings involved until the handoff. 1. Bot begins the conversation in Magnetic Mail 2. School taught me to make assumptions so as to come out with conclusions. But can we use this in technique when working with people? The short answer is no. Before you scientists jump at me, let me tell you why. Well, we are all humans and we assume things. But, we also need to know that sometimes things in life are simpler than it looks. C’mon, everything else in this world is built by another human being just like you and I, how complicated can it be? Nevertheless, we are humans, hence we have emotions too. Emotions drives us to over-complicate things. This is often due to our assumptions, which eventually turns into misunderstandings. Let me share with you an true story. A colleague of mine was communicating with me through an online messaging platform, and I requested for some additional documents so that I can perform a short review of her work. It really didn’t matter if those documents were fully ready, or half done. I just needed some references to look at, to brush up on my own understanding. She became furious. Long messages and emails started to flood my chat box and I was shocked. I couldn’t understand what may have triggered her to react this way. We ended up having a meeting to understand what exactly happened. Turns out, it was a misunderstanding. She thought that I needed the documents fully approved, but all I needed was some reference. Finally, after much thought, I realised that I’ve assumed that she knows my intent, and she also assumed an accurate interpretation of my words. We both then agreed that we have areas to work on. What would you have done to avoid misunderstandings?

At my first job, I struggled to track my to-dos, so I constantly had to follow up with people. This made me look bad, so I carried a notebook everywhere. Magically, my forgetfulness disappeared. As our minds age, they trick us and alter our memories. Writing down what happened is a foolproof way to ensure we remember exactly what happened. As you need to memorize more complex things, you can integrate various tools like Notion. Before you overcomplicate things, start with a notebook or Google Doc and experiment with your note-taking style. Iterate constantly, and you’ll be surprised how many more good ideas you can capture.
