One of the highlights was a compelling test case video demonstrating remote vehicle operation using 5G technology. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀: 📶 🟢 Full 5G signal – Smooth remote operation 📶 🟡 Low signal – Vehicle automatically slowing down 📶 🔴 No signal – Vehicle safely coming to a stop This demonstration underscores the critical role of robust and reliable connectivity in the future of autonomous and remote-operated vehicles. While Applus+ IDIADA is just one of many partners in the TARGET-X consortium, we're proud that our testing infrastructure supports this cutting-edge research. Our facilities are equipped to handle 2G to 5G cellular networks and Cooperative Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) communication, enabling seamless transitions between different networks while vehicles are in motion.
