🚨CQC update: what dentists need to know🚨 Buying or selling a dental practice? After months of delays caused by the CQC’s provider portal, there’s FINALLY some movement. The regulator is hitting reset and bringing back paper applications to cut through the backlog and avoid further disruption to deals and services. Here’s what the CQC announced: “From 18 November, we will no longer be accepting any type of registration applications from the provider portal, other than cancellation applications. From this date, we will only be accepting applications made using the application form on our website.” Key Points for Dentists: - ✅ If your portal application has been validated and accepted, you’re in the queue—no action needed. - 🕒 Waiting on confirmation? The CQC will contact you soon. - 📝 Partially completed applications? Submit them by 5pm on 18 November to avoid starting over. The process will remain first come, first served, with the usual que based system so timeframes shouldn’t shift. This move could mean smoother sailing for those of you navigating practice acquisitions or sales—if you act fast and stay compliant with the new(old) system. #APEXITDENTAL #DentalPracticeSales #DentistLife #CQC #PracticeOwnership #DentalAcquisitions #DentistryBusiness #DentistsInBusiness #PracticeManagement
