Since then, I've been on a continuous path of learning, exploring, and adapting. Here are my key Takeaways: Me and My team recently participated in the BITS Pilani Conquest Challenge, a highly competitive startup pitch event. We're thrilled to have reached the top 5% among 3,000 applicants! 🚀✨ While reaching the top 0.5% wasn't possible this time, this experience provided valuable insights to strengthen our future endeavors. Here are three key takeaways: 🎯Refining the Pitch: We identified areas for improvement in user acquisition strategies and financial projections. We're committed to further developing our business acumen to present a more compelling case. 📖 Impactful Storytelling: We learned the importance of crafting a narrative that resonates. We'll be focusing on weaving a tighter story that emphasizes the emotional connection our product creates, alongside the data. 🌱 Resilience for Growth: The startup journey is a marathon, not a sprint. PW is pushing around the once-big bully to take control 👊 💥 PW seems to be ahead of Aakash when it comes to launching an IPO. After securing $210 million in funding in September, PW has already hired four big investment banks—Axis Capital, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan—to help with its IPO plans for next year. PW’s value has jumped from $1.1 billion to $2.8 billion, and it might aim for an IPO valuation of around $5 billion. This could make it another huge IPO from a startup in the NCR region. The company, based in Noida, already has about Rs 3,000 crore in cash and is in a good position with strong profits and impressive growth. This makes it an attractive investment, especially for those who have backed the company early on, like Westbridge Capital. It could be India’s first big edtech IPO (besides Veranda Learning). However, there’s a risk to PW’s business because it relies heavily on one person—Alakh Pandey. Alakh’s personal brand seems stronger than PW’s, and investors might end up betting more on his ability to sell courses than on the company itself. Depending so much on a single person can be risky, especially in public markets. Meanwhile, Aakash could have been in this position. But it’s struggling under Byju Raveendran’s leadership, which has led to financial issues and lost trust. 🎉Thrilled to share that I’ve completed the Foundations of Entrepreneurship course through NSRCEL's Women Startup Program Cohort 5 at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, a CSR initiative by Kotak Mahindra Bank! A huge thank you to IIM Bangalore and NSRCEL for this invaluable opportunity. This program provided a deep dive into the startup culture, empowering me to refine my venture. Here’s what I gained: 📌 Strategic Customer Validation: Identifying and understanding core customer needs 📌 Market Testing Essentials: Gaining hands-on experience in market validation 📌 Resource Mobilization: How to align resources to accelerate growth 📌 Pitching Proficiency: Crafting a compelling narrative to attract investors 📌 Founder's Mindset: Developing resilience and an innovative approach I’m beyond grateful to have been part of this journey, and I’m excited to apply these learnings to take my startup to the next level!

Time forces us to embrace the change that knocks on our doors. When I decided to drop out of my regular master's degree from one of the most prestigious universities in India to build my own company, I was very skeptical. I worked around the clock and learned many things I didn't know earlier—built a team of people with developing pre-frontal cortex. They were the only ones willing to invest such a time based on their trust in me. As my last attempt to collaborate with another start-up company went off the table, I realized that was the end of my start-up. So, at that point, I started applying for jobs. Eventually, I got offers from LearningMate, TCS, and a few other start-ups. While thinking about what to do, I came across a video by Ankur Warikoo, where he said the best way to learn how a business runs is to work in a structured company. So, I chose LearningMate as it is quite a big Edtech company, assuming I will get good exposure to the Edtech business. That's the beginning of this beautiful journey. The opportunities to learn about the markets, processes, and business across verticals were promising, and they enriched me more than I had imagined earlier. Of course, not all of this happened while working as an Instructional Designer; saying that would be a big fat lie; there were scopes to contribute in other ways, like working with the PMO, technology group, resource management, finance, etc. This is my favorite thing about LearningMate: we have the stability of a corporation where we try to fathom the spirit of a Start-up. I am very fortunate to be a part of the LearningMate family and grateful to those who believed in me.
