Recent feedback from the ECG Healthcare Group 💙 We’re excited to be working with the Senior Leadership team of ECG Healthcare Group whose focus is on leading the development and innovation of excellence in healthcare training and delivery. Here is what COO, Sophie McCracken, posted after our recent Psychological Safety session: “We’ve been pretty confident we were doing OK on this front [feeling safe and happy being at work], but for us, OK isn’t good enough... We want better; we want to be sure; we want to strive for the best that we can be. That’s why we reached out to Penny Newton-Hurley to help facilitate a session on Psychological Safety...Penny has skilfully helped to take our already strong and close-knit senior leadership team to a whole new level...Embracing the concept of psychological safety means really understanding the human needs of our team, clients and patients...Human connection is a thing of beauty and something to be treasured, but true connections can only be created in the right environment where everyone feels safe and valued.” If you’re interested to know more about bringing Psychological Safety to your team or organisation, get in touch with us today using the Linktree in our bio. #psychologicalsafety #teambuilding #psychology #emotions #workplacewellbeing #GoodCareMonth #workplaceculture #communication #workplace #compassion #commpassion #selfcompassion #leadershipdevelopment #leadership #workplaceculture

🌟 As I reflect on my journey over the past year with the NHS, I've come to appreciate a wealth of insights that have profoundly shaped my professional life. Here are five key lessons that stand out: 1. The Power of Teamwork🤝 - In healthcare, collaboration isn’t just beneficial; it’s essential. Relying on one another’s strengths allows us to deliver exceptional patient care and achieve remarkable outcomes together. 2. Compassion as a Core Value❤️ - I’ve learned that genuine empathy is priceless. Taking the time to understand a patient’s experience not only enhances their care but also fosters a deeper bond of trust and respect. 3. Embracing Change with Adaptability🔄 - The fast-paced nature of the NHS demands flexibility. Being open to change not only encourages innovation but also helps us navigate challenges effectively, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of those we serve. 4. The Importance of Effective Communication📢 - Clear and open dialogue is crucial in our field. Whether it’s sharing vital information with colleagues or comforting a patient, effective communication can be the difference between confusion and clarity, safety and risk. 5. Every Day is a Learning Experience📚 - I’ve discovered that each day presents new challenges and opportunities for growth. Embracing these moments has not only expanded my knowledge but has also enriched my appreciation for the dynamic nature of healthcare. I am truly grateful for this transformative journey and for the incredible colleagues and mentors I’ve encountered along the way! 💪✨ #NHS #Healthcare #ProfessionalGrowth #Teamwork #LearningJourney

Picture this: you are on the pitch with a few seconds to go before the final whistle. A few seconds that determine whether months of hard work will end in the way you’ve envisioned. If you think about it, everyone hopes for victory but few prepare for any other eventuality. Every time awards season is upon us, I know many can relate to this feeling. When the standards of healthcare communications continue to rise, it really is anyone’s game. I’ve seen not-for-profits do incredible health campaigns and big name brands create big impact on a small budget. When you compete with the best, a podium finish feels good enough. Gold?? Come on now, you say to yourself. Be more realistic. Then, I look around and see the incredible team I am a part of and realise nothing else will do. So here we are, celebrating our win at Campaign Asia-Pacific's PR Asia awards with a Gold in the Health & Wellness category for work that was done on heart failure. Since I am often asked what it takes to create award winning work in healthcare communications, this is what I think: 💓 Create better patient videos: Offer a fresh take and not one that simply focuses on suffering. Every person, regardless of who they are or the disease they have, wants to be known for more than their illness or condition. Let's honour that 🎯 More can be merrier: Unmet health needs require a multi-faceted approach that involve many stakeholders. If no single entity or organisation can solve the challenges facing humankind, isn't it time comms approaches reflect that? Yes, retaining control and doing things on your own is easier, but collaboration is where the true power lies 💡 Challenge the status quo: Just because it's done a certain way, doesn't necessarily mean it has to continue that way? It's 2024! If not now, then when? Proud of everyone involved Melissa-Anne, Pei San, Amy, Reeta, the amazing team at National Heart Centre Singapore and colleagues from across the region Raelene, Ruthaiwan, Christie, Dewi Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific

All is fair in love and war,” but in leadership and business, fairness and integrity are paramount. As the Director of Operations at Kennedy Vision Health Center, I am reminded daily that true success is built on a foundation of ethical practices and a commitment to doing what’s right for our team and patients. In the fast-paced world of healthcare, it’s easy to get caught up in the race to achieve results. However, I believe that the best outcomes come from a culture of trust, collaboration, and respect. By prioritizing transparency and fairness, we create an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. At Kennedy Vision Health Center, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care through a patient-centric approach. This means not only delivering top-notch medical services but also ensuring that our business operations reflect the highest standards of integrity. From transparent billing practices to ethical patient interactions, every decision we make is guided by our commitment to fairness and excellence.
