Today, we delivered the first of nine Masterclasses with this fantastic group! Together with Jason and JP, we explored essential topics like defining leadership, understanding leadership styles, self-awareness, performance analysis, and the role of coaching within leadership. The discussions were great, the interactions engaging, and the activities fun. One key takeaway from today was that leadership isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about knowing your styles, being self-aware, and adapting to different situations. Whether you're a new manager or an experienced leader, focusing on these fundamentals can make a world of difference. I'm always grateful to organisations, as well as the attendees, who are investing time and resources into developing their people. It shows a real commitment to leading the way in building stronger, more effective teams. This dedication to growth and development sets a really good example for others. My first strategy for coping with these tumultuous times was to simply stop paying attention. And there’s a place for strategically stepping away and unplugging – especially in this hyper-connected age. But in the long run, I found that tuning out was not helping me to feel empowered or hopeful. So, for 2025, I’ll be experimenting with another strategy: remaining firmly in the here-and-now.
