"In recent years, the United Nations (UN) designated terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a group with links to the Pakistani security establishment, has been pursuing a strategy of political transition. This paper explores whether existing counter-terrorism frameworks such as the UN-led disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) and state-led de-radicalization and disengagement programs adequately explain the transition of terrorist organizations into the political arena."

Dear friends with dual Iranian-European nationality, Dear European friends, We all know that a #prosperous #MiddleEast means less #poverty, Less #immigration, less #terrorism, and #more #collaborations. After the deaths of Raissi and Amir-Abdollahian, the foreign minister of the #Islamic #Terrorist #Mafia #Regime, what would be the new policy of #Europe regarding #IRGC ? 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟵𝘁𝗵, 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗣𝘀 who will #commit to #supporting Iranians in defeating the #IRGC 👉 Act with #transparency and #humanity 👉 not gamble with our #security by negotiating with the #IRGC and the #Islamic #Republic. 👉 acknowledge the true desires of the Iranian 👉 be accountable of their action regarding IRGC and the #Islamic #Republic It's time to participate in the upcoming European elections and demand an end to the lenient stance towards the criminals of the Islamic Republic. This would be the gift of a #democratic, #secular #Iran to the wolrd and this is the will of the Iranian people. Remember, during the most recent election in Iran on May 11, 2024, only 7% of Iranians turned out to vote. Iran is poised for change. The Islamic Republic is not only #oppressing its #people but also #destroying Iran’s #wildlife and #nature to convert resources into money for #weapons and #military construction. Many of our politicians surprised me by have acted without respect for #human #dignity and #transparency. Significant nonsensical actions from Europe and the USA include: ❌ The European Commission, particularly Josep #Borrell, continues to engage with the Islamic Republic despite clear evidence of human rights crimes and refuses to put IRGC in the terrorist lists ( another IranGate? ) https://lnkd.in/eSMJ-kgr ❌ The refusal of some Green Parties members to classify the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) as a terrorist organization, despite their known involvement in terrorism and regional destabilization. ( the list of who opposed to put IRGC in Terrorist List in comments ) ❌ The United Nations has often followed a similar path inviting and honoring the Islamic republic instead of boycotting them ❌ Barack Obama and Mister President Biden have even offers $ in the middle of protests on 2007 and 2023 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆. 𝗩𝗼𝘁𝗲 ! Vote for those who can align with our values of humanity and Freedom. We have faced many betrayals regarding liberation movements in Iran. Each of these betrayals is a betrayal of our values. This powerful action can help restore peace to #Iran to the #MiddleEast to #Europe #IRGCTerrorists #Raissi #Corruption #IRan #StopSupportingIRGC #FreeIran #WomenLifeFreedom #Stopnegociatingwithterrorists #Helicotlet

Recent developments in Bangladesh have raised concerns about the influence of jihadist groups and the potential imposition of Islamic law. The Bangladeshi government recently banned the radical Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, under anti-terrorism laws following violent protests [oai_citation:1,Bangladesh bans Jamaat-e-Islami, its student wing under anti-terrorism law - India Today](https://lnkd.in/gVdk_dnJ) [oai_citation:2,Bangladesh to ban radical Islamist outfit Jamaat-e-Islami over violent protests - India Today](https://lnkd.in/gAfnKusZ). These actions have heightened fears of instability, which some speculate could be influenced by external actors such as Pakistan's ISI and China, aiming to destabilize the region [oai_citation:3,Countering Jihadist Militancy in Bangladesh | Crisis Group](https://lnkd.in/gb29vDC3). This instability in Bangladesh poses a significant threat to India's sovereignty. The potential rise of jihadist activities could lead to increased cross-border terrorism, impacting India's national security. Gaveshna Sarswat: “Iran's recent attack on the militant Sunni Islamist group Jaish al-Adl within Pakistani borders cannot be viewed in isolation. Rather, it should be understood as part of a coordinated strategy employed by Iran. This strategy, which has also involved targeting groups in Syria and Iraq, highlights Tehran's willingness to assert its power beyond its borders, shape regional dynamics and pursue its interests.” Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eTZhYVMv #Geopolitics #Iran #Pakistan

The disastrous fate and misery of Afghanistan continue. Unlike during their previous emirate, the Taliban don’t intervene in other countries and are not considered a threat even by neighbors. However, life in Afghanistan does not vary significantly from their previous rule. #Israel is believed to be behind the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the now-former Political Bureau Chief of #Hamas, as well as behind the liquidation of Fouad Shukr, #Hizbullah's # 2. While these deaths may have sent strong messages of #deterrence to the Axis of Resistance, they did not put an end to the war in #Gaza, and quite possibly contributed to the warmongering and escalation by #Hizbullah, already on the offensive in the north. The Washington Outsider #Report on Coalition Radio is joined by the writer, historian, and journalist @Matti Friedman, the author of bestsellers including The Aleppo Codex, to discuss which of the many wars #Israel should be fighting - if any. Some of the questions raised include: * Is #Israel slow-rolling the confrontation with Tehran and the Axis of Resistance due to US #Elections2024 * Was it a mistake to engage in #Gaza? Was #Hizbullah the real enemy #Israel should have been confronting? * Is #Israel capable of fighting on multiple fronts simultaneously? * Is #Iran's strategy of encirclement a success, or is bound to be a success? * Why is #IDF short on supplies and even basic necessities? * Is #Israel able to confront #Iran independently without US support? * Does #Israel have any additional options besides being dragged into "forever wars" with #Iran's regional #proxies or risk losing US supplies in attacking #Iran? * Why did #Israel not start with the #Rafah operation in #Gaza and why did it take so long to enter the area and to secure the borders from #Hamas infiltration? * Can the Israeli government identify the priority threats effectively and be counted on to take the decisive steps to resolve these issues in the current scenario? * If there are no good options, what can we expect next? .. and much more! #terrorism #counterterrorsim #MiddleEast #ArabWorld #Levant #Lebanon #Syria #Iraq #extremism #counterextremism #military #security #defense #corruption #foreignpolicy #foreignaffairs #diplomacy #geopolitics
