Exciting news - Cisco has just released our second annual Cybersecurity Readiness Index! We've surveyed 8,000 business and cybersecurity leaders across 30 global markets to understand the current challenges within cybersecurity and assess how ready organizations are globally to face today's cybersecurity risks. We also looked at five key cybersecurity pillars - Identity Intelligence, Network Resilience, Machine Trustworthiness, Cloud Reinforcement, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fortification. Cisco's Cybersecurity Readiness Index has highlighted some key statistics, such as that only 4% of organizations in APJC have achieved the esteemed 'Mature' level of readiness, which is essential for tackling modern cybersecurity challenges head-on. As on-the-go access becomes more essential and employees use a variety of devices, 88% of APJC companies report that their employees use multiple networks to connect to work. What stood out to me was the crunch in the cybersecurity talent shortage. Despite the high demand for skilled professionals, 90% of companies report a manpower shortage.
