This week, I officially began a new role at Qualtrics as our new Go-To-Market Programs Lead PMM! This promotion is especially meaningful, not only because I worked really hard for this opportunity, but also because it was my dad, who passed away two weeks ago on Father’s Day, who encouraged me to shoot my shot. We celebrated his life this past Saturday. My father, Philip Newcomb, he was a prodigious futurist and visionary, who founded The Software Revolution, Inc. (TSRI) 30 years ago; TSRI modernizes the most critical IT systems used across the world. In the early 1980s, my dad pitched his ideas to leverage AI to improve technology before the ETH Zurich and he received a damp reception: “Herr Newcomb, we do not need artificial intelligence; at the ETH, we have human intelligence.” But my dad wasn't discouraged— he proved those close-minded engineers wrong over & over. I've been reflecting on my dad’s life, and here are some key takeaways: 1. Dare to dream and try. My dad always had a list of dreams, big and small. To make a dream come true, he studied and gathered up what would be needed, rolled up his sleeves, and got to work. If something didn't work, he would just try a new approach. When I realized I dreamed of returning to marketing, my dad pushed me to explore my options and just go for it. Good thing I did! 2. Even when you’ve done a good job at something, there’s always room to get it a little better. Growing up, my dad ruthlessly reviewed my school papers, sometimes 4 or 5 times. This drove me insane, but he taught me that there’s always an opportunity to make something better. This has since become my superpower, and I know it’s going to serve me well in this new role. 3. Never stop learning. My dad, determined to stretch every one of his brain cells to its max capacity, was constantly in pursuit of advanced proficiency across a multitude of subjects. He believed in his—and anyone’s— potential for mastery with hard work, curiosity, and the will to learn and try; that made him confident that we could achieve anything. As I prepared to interview for this new role, I studied for hours; I made it my job to learn all I can & I'm hitting the ground running. 4. Make happy, meaningful memories with loved ones. In my final trip out to spend time with my dad, my dad chose to blissfully ignore his illness; he also didn’t want to sit idle. He wanted to garden, go boating, build bonfires, and stargaze together at night. We crashed into our pillows at the ends of long days, knowing we’d soaked up every second together. These memories -- not the meetings you sit in-- will stay with you forever, so use your PTO! My dad was my # 1 coach and mentor, and his final act was supporting me as I took steps into my next career chapter. Celebrated 6 months at Qualtrics with this lovely group!! Getting to be a part of this Experience Design and Management panel was a great way to reflect on my growth here. Here are some of my gems of wisdom: 💎 Listening + Acting is the secret sauce. Not only have I seen this on display within the teams I work with, but I also see this in action with Qualtrics customers and their audiences. They have been such an inspiration to me! I love seeing the impact our products have on creating better experiences across the world. Truly remarkable! 💎 True connection is the conductor of trust. At the end of the day, we are all just humans need to feel a sense of belonging wherever they are. I intentionally focus on creating moments of true connection throughout my day. Those touchpoints help garner trust, which I've found has opened many doors and opportunities. 💎 Never stop being curious and "scrappy". I've learned that it's better to be proactive and try new things to solve a problem, instead of waiting for the solution to come to you. While I'm still working on overcoming my analysis paralysis, I'm doing better and becoming more accountable for my work. Excited for more growth and learning at Q!!

Capping off my 2-year anniversary with Premier Inc. with a flight home from the Becker's Healthcare ASC Review. Engaging with ASC leaders from across the country provided invaluable insights into our industry’s evolving landscape. From these discussions, I’ve distilled three critical themes: 1. Seamless Technology Integration: True solutions must integrate effortlessly into clinical workflows. If technology disrupts rather than enhances these processes, it’s not delivering the value providers need. 2. People-Centric Culture: Staffing challenges remain a significant concern, yet they also present unique opportunities. CEOs emphasized that cultivating a strong organizational culture is essential for differentiating themselves and effectively navigating the talent war. 3. Incentive Alignment Drive Behavior: Aligned incentives are crucial, not just for executives but throughout the organization. Innovative approaches to incentive alignment can create synergy among staff and strategic partners, driving better outcomes across the board. I am more confident than ever in the momentum our Continuum of Care members are experiencing as care delivery shifts beyond traditional hospital settings. Premier Inc. is well-positioned to create value for our partners in this transformative space. Now home just in time for trick-or-treating!

Last Thursday marked a pivotal moment as we co-hosted a DEI Roundtable at our Doctolib office in Kreuzberg, organized by Talent. It was a special occasion, bringing together around 45 DEI enthusiasts to exchange ideas on "Building a sustainable DEI strategy." I had the pleasure of reconnecting with inspiring individuals from my first roundtable at Zalando, as well as meeting new faces and amazing personalities!💙 I want to highlight Mark Ivan Serunjogi and Meike Dietzel, who both did an amazing job facilitating our breakout groups, enabling us to come up with the following key learning outcomes 🗝: - Building a sustainable DEI strategy requires time, patience, and incremental steps - Put emphasis on a "shared vision" for DEI in the workplace to foster belonging and celebration - Data collection, be it quantitative or qualitative, is crucial for building a solid business case - Pitching initiatives effectively can lead to buy-in, accountability, and access to resources - Various approaches exist to pitch DEI initiatives, focusing on stakeholder engagement and making the vision tangible for everyone - Last, but not least: continously bringing the community together and to create this space for open discussion, ideas and for connections is vital and so reassuring! This week marks a significant career milestone for me—my ten-year anniversary at Qlik. As I celebrate and reflect on my own journey, I am also reminded of the anniversaries and remarkable stories of employee mobility, growth, and resilience of many of our leaders and team members. It is inspiring to see our team members take on new challenges and undergo significant personal and professional growth. These stories are not just about job titles but about expanding skills, personal development, and the internal opportunities our ecosystem offers. We find ways to nurture and advance people's careers in diverse and sometimes unexpected directions, underlining our commitment to retaining and enhancing our shared expertise and skills. I sit beside an incredible example of the opportunities at Qlik. Over half of the executive team were promoted internally, and most have over five years of tenure. These milestones, whether they mark 5, 10 or 15+ years, are not mere numbers. They are testimonials to the vibrant careers, personal and professional evolution, and employee mobility that our organization champions. This ethos of exploring new internal opportunities is illustrated through individuals (not just in our senior leadership team, but throughout the company) who have transitioned across teams and units to take on new roles.
