Is some #employeeturnover healthy? Perhaps not! I once had the view that some employee turnover (say 10%) was healthy but my view changed at the point we had an #engaged and #highperforming #team. Our engagement scores were off the chart 👍 A high performing and engaged team will reinvent themselves through training, CI, challenging and adapting. No need for fresh ways of thinking - which was part of my reason for thinking some turnover was necessary. Over the course of 3 years our turnover was effectively ZERO % when the only 3 employees that had left (with view that grass might be greener) returned within that period. We had created an environment that attracted and retained quality people. #StuTips #Leadership

Does your HR team eat its own dogfood? While this phrase is oftentimes used to refer to a company’s practice of using its own products/services internally, the concept can also be applied to any programs that the people function rolls out. If you’re in compensation, for example, and rolling out a new salary planning process, do the tools and training guides you design for people leaders actually meet their needs? Have you actually put yourself in the shoes of the end user to ensure these resources are easy to navigate? The more removed that HR professionals are from the business, the more likely they may be to design programs/policies that aren't practical to implement.
