I first heard of Google Summer of Code from my brother at IIT-BHU even before coming to IIT. Coming to the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, I witnessed the craze for GSoC, given the perks it provides. Also, because KGP has been amongst the top institutions worldwide in terms of students accepted at GSoC. I am happy to announce that my proposal for Red Hen Labs at Google Summer of Code, 2021 was accepted recently. I will start in a few weeks, working on something I am really passionate about, being mentored by amazing researchers at Red Hen. I would like to give credit to all the seniors from IIT-KGP, especially Pranit Bauva and Rishabh Madan, who helped in my earlier attempts at another organization and made me realize this was doable, so I was confident enough this time. I still remember going to Nitin Choudhary in my second year, who gave me some practical advice about choosing the right org. Hoping to have a good time this summer, being the Red Hen! Congratulations Ankit! 😄
Congrats Ankit!
congratulations
This might sound clichéd, but I would also credit Nitin Choudhary for helping me out during my second year as well, and realise the fact, that things get better after the first open source contributions 😛. Congratulations for the same!
Congrats 😀
