A regenerative learning practice is based on a systemic approach, which contemplates life and being human holistically, integrating multiple intelligences to its methodology and experiences. Still, our current education system tends to focus on learning mainly trough our rational minds while ignoring our heart and body's intelligence. This is reinforced by a way of living that leaves no space for us to truly experience life, connect and listen to this inner voice that has so much to say and teach us. If we want to find a way through this multi-crisis we experience, we must reconnect and learn with our full potential, so we can innovate and find new and better ways to live in harmony. Tomorrow, 10th of April, at 8h30, we get together once again at Impact Hub Zürich Collab to dive into "Intuitive Intelligence", knowing without thinking. We will together explore intuition from an "ecological" perspective and discuss its importance in learning and education. 🌱 You can join us, there is no need for registration. Looking forward to seeing you there!
This morning Diana Cianelli Gabriel and I exchanged on our upcoming community meeting this Wednesday at the Impact Hub Zürich, which makes me really excited. We will dive into the topic of „Intuitive Intellegince“ - knowing without thinking. But where does this knowing come from and how can we perceive it? And when we bring this into the context of our community „Learning and Education for Sustainable Development“: How can intuition facilitate learning? How can learning facilitate intuition? During this session we will: - Practice presence and connect to our own intuition, - Discuss intuition from different perspectives, including from a "deep ecology" one. - Leave space for emergence, share experiences and related references. If this speaks to you, join us this Wednesday in our Community of Practice „Learning and Education for Sustainable Development“ . At Inventures 2024, we were joined by Carol Wildcat of Ermineskin Cree Nation and Lynn Smith of Peavine Metis Settlement to discuss building trust between Indigenous nations and institutions. The discussion moved from taking a personalized approach to Indigenous community engagement, fostering long-term and mutually beneficial relationships, and how fruitful partnerships between institutions and nations can help create a better, more sustainable future. At NAIT, we respect the individuality of Indigenous communities and ensure that we walk beside them to help them achieve their training and applied research goals. Together we are building trust, sharing knowledge and creating impact. nait.li/3xILXIz

It is with great pleasure that I share a new article written together with my co-authors Leonardo Conte and Victor Lulache about the #alternative role that an organisation rooted in ancient traditions may play in the implementation of modern #SDG policies - the Swiss #Patriziati. Patriziati is a beautiful example that made me think about the most important facet of #sustainability, which is #adaptability. How in the spiral of evolution, concepts and notions of the past are adapted and reinvented for the modern times. In the case of Patriziate, the resilient element was the emotional bond between man and the nature of a specific place. Patriziati is not just about an organisations that survived the history. It is about the emotional link between the the population of a specific territory where they have been spending their lives for generations, as a source of the #ethos to #protect that part of nature. As part of the cohesion, #family names were important as well as their heraldics, and they always included an element of #nature (an animal, a plant, a tree, a bird etc). In this ethos, one does not need external sactions or incentives to implement the public policies aimed to #environment protection, but this is just part of the normality. In Romania, some similarities could be found with the concept of "obste sateasca" "obstea mosnenilor" or "obstea razesilor" ("the village community") who enjoyed "proprietate devalmasa/obsteasca" ("common property of the village"). While most of such entities did not survived the test of time, particularly due to the communist era when they were deprived by their property and part of the population of villages was dislocated towards industrial areas. However, due to the reparatory legislation after the fall of communism, some of these entities were able to reconstitute their organisation and ownership rights, to then proceed to the administration of their forets and lands (see for example https://lnkd.in/eW_pyiM8 ).
📌 The Swiss #Patriziati are organisations of ancient tradition who now may prove to be an #alternative tool for the implementation of #SDG goals. 🌱 These Helvetic organisations enjoy unique features rooted in the links of the #indigenious families with their #territory. Contrasting with many other European countries, the Swiss Patriziati (in French bourgeoisie, and German bürgergemeinde) are not necessarily nobility-related, but rather simply territory-related. Also, they have maintained more than a symbolic power and enjoyed a specific social role aimed to #preservation of the commonly owned land. 📌 The Swiss Patriziati are now recognised officially by the state as public law corporation, autonomous, owning common property to be preserved and used in a neighbourly spirit for the benefit of the #community. 📌 Territory-related organisations, especially when including nobility, are nowadays considered in many countries a conservative institution, perhaps even outdated. However, #Switzerland's Patriciates interestingly evolved into merging their historical origins with an #innovative thinking toward social cohesion and protection of nature. This may now prove to be very useful model for the implementation of the Social Development Goals - #SDG and #sustainability policies. ❓ Discover more by reading our latest #publication titled " The Swiss Patriciates: A Model Case for Sustainable Development Goals’ Implementation" co-authored by Professor Crenguta Leaua, Leonardo Conte and Victor Lulache, available open access on SSRN here: https://lnkd.in/enwj_dSh #alternativethinking #environmentprotection #tradition

Wealth building is a key area of focus for the Latino Partnership Program of Oregon Community Foundation. How can Latino/x communities move beyond resilience and into a phase of community development where people can thrive? That was the central question of the two-day Conexiones summit that LPP organized recently in Lincoln City. The theme was Adelante (forward): Comunidad, Prosperidad, Poder (community, prosperity, power). As we mark Hispanic Heritage Month, we revisit responses we gathered to the questions, What does wealth look like? What does it feel like?

We have created a territorial foundation in Barichara, Colombia that is prototyping a form of bioregional governance. This is emerging through a tapestry of territorial processes and regenerative activities at the landscape scale. We organize around five thematic areas: 1) Regenerative Education 2) Regenerative Economy 3) Ecosystem Restoration 4) Cultural Regeneration 5) Healing & Spirituality All of this is built on a foundation of community philanthropy and participatory governance.
